Super User PhishLI Posted March 4, 2022 Super User Posted March 4, 2022 G-man just bagged a chunk. Way more funk already than yesterday's dinkfest. 1 Quote
waitmanFE Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 This is the first BASS coverage i've watched in a while. Not really impressed with the coverage so far, especially compared to MLF. I wish they'd show more coverage. That being said I think this is going to be a good tournament. I fished on Hartwell yesterday evening and caught a few really nice spots out deep. Kinda obvious but the deciding factor is going to be who can get a couple nice largemouth bites. Quote
BassNJake Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Hackney with a good one!! He mean mugged it and jammed it in the livewell. hahahaha 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 4, 2022 Author Global Moderator Posted March 4, 2022 The zaldangerous one just got a big fish with a crankbait Quote
waitmanFE Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Wow, definitely firing some shots at MLF with these commercials. Wish we could just enjoy both. Quote

Specifically the one with Swindle, Palaniuk and the other MLF cast aways talking about why they left to come back to BASS. Whatever though, i'm not trying to start a flame war between the two on here, that's been done several times. I enjoy watching both formats. 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 4, 2022 Author Global Moderator Posted March 4, 2022 I like one format and don’t like the other. And that’s ok. Some people like sour cream and some people don’t 4 Quote

And it’s been proven since the 70s that livewell and release doesn’t destroy a fishery 3 Quote
BassNJake Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Strictly from a competitors stand point, the MLF format knowing what everyone else has, fishing to the last second puts a lot more pressure and I like that. The drama at the cut line is always a crazy nail biter. From a fans stand point, nothing like the drama of a five fish weigh in Did you see when Edwin Evers won Redcrest ? the largest event in MLF? He got to celebrate with his marshal and a camera guy And did you see when Ott Defoe won the Classic? largest event in BASS? He got to celebrate with his entire family in an arena full of people with confetti raining down 4 Quote

I think they are very accurate but they are all different units and all floating on different boats sometimes the anglers request a re weigh and it’s different on the second try 1 Quote
