Everything starts when I couldn't fit my Dobyns 908 SB rod in my truck. So I decide to sell it and buy shorter rod. I sold it $220 to a college student($260 was listing price). And bought Veritas Toro beast SB rod, Why? Because my reel is toro beat as well. When the rod arrived Except the heavy weight I love everything about it, But it was WHITE, And you cant get whiter than that. Here all crazy stuff starts, From looking for reel custom painters to look for new Toro S which is white and will be match with rod. Finally I bought the reel and I am going to get it in mail by today. And now I still had the Gray Toro Beats that was match with my Dobyns Champion 908, So what the hell I purchase a Dbyns 807 last night to match with the Gray Toro Beats. YES I f*** up, And add another swimbait combo to my arsenal just because I couldn't fit that 908 in my truck ?.

Thats the whole story and I wanted to share with you.

Time to buy a new tackle box that floats...

....and has a TM...

...and a 250hp+ motor...

...just so you can store your tackle.

What is wrong with me?

Is this rhetorical? If not, see #5 on my "you know how I know you don't fish" list...

Perhaps cut yourself some slack my friend,

I actually expected to read that you had bought a new truck that your rod would fit into.

And I suppose I would have been OK with that too.

Should've kept the 908, sold the truck, and bought a 1997 Nissan Sentra. (I have a Dobyns 908, fits perfectly in the Sentra with the backseat down.)

But then, my rods are all black, some shiny and some matte; reels are gold, silver or grey; and my kayak is brown. So what do I know.

Good luck with the new combo.

ATA, I'd like an updated photo of the back of your truck. Is it still full of gear?

For anyone who hasn't seen the amount of gear in the photos ATA has posted, it's pretty incredible! :)

Today I was out and cast with it, It is perfect combo, Casting BBZ, Baitsanity, Deps 250 and  etc.... Very good all around for 6oz to 16oz.
Only thing you need to know the rod is heavy 11.1oz and head heavy, so it is not balance even after putting the reel on.

Sucks about the headache involved, but that is a sharp looking combo. Well done, I hope you nail a biggie on it.

Then you might as well sell it..... ?

I didn't have the money at the time, I couldn't ask you to wait two weeks. Even now I don't know where to put my boat if I buy one, Because I have no Garage.
