Maybe a discussion on this isn't permitted but its seems like such an important item on the world stage that its worth at least bringing up.  I will refrain from bringing up any politician other than the enemy, Vladimir Putin.

 

Even some neutral countries like Finland, Sweden, and Switzerland are backing Ukraine now.  Eventually everyone is going to back Ukraine and oppose Russia on this.  War crimes against civilians are now being investigated too.

I agree this topic could be dicey on here at best because its political and I could see it easily degrading into an argument with people pushing opinions or beliefs. Because of that I won't get very far into it...but I will say I read up on it yesterday to see the justification for it..and I don't get it.

The US is currently involved in 9 conflicts worldwide. There's a lot more to this than what the MsM wants you to believe.

I knew it was going to be dicey before I started it but its probably the biggest international conflict of my adult lifetime.  I'm not trying to push my opinion or beliefs on anyone else.  I've got a co-worker who is Ukranian and his cousins and grandmother still live in Western Ukraine.

 

If it gets dusted, so be it.  Won't ruin my day and I won't do it again.

I'm not sure what you consider a conflict, but it's way more than 9, and that's a good thing. The whole "rough men willing to do harm on our behalf" thing. Heck, 9 was just a Tuesday in Africa.

Fun fact: My family is from old Russia including what is now Ukraine. My family escaped during the Russian Revolution (lots of cool stories), ended up caught in WWI in Europe, got separated, and ended up in Canada.

 

For over 10 years the family tried to reach out to missing members, taking out ads in Russian language newspapers until they were reunited. The entire time they lived less than 15 miles apart. But it was the 1920's and communication and transportation were limited.

 

I'm the first born in the US in my family.

I saw an adventure type fishing show on TV years ago. They were fishing some river in Russia. Don't remember the name or what they were catching, but they caught a lot and they were big.

 

On Randy Blauket's YouTube channel he said that he had nine or so subscribers from Ukraine. Matt Stefan buys some baits made in Ukraine, from some guy over there. They're fishing for something there. 

 

I'm not going to get political, but I really feel for the innocent people. They didn't ask for this. Little man Putin seems to have lost his mind by threatening to use nukes. Other than Belarus, China and probably North Korea, the world is turning against little man.

The "big" conflict right now outside of Russia/Ukraine is Yemen and the United Arab Emirates.

USA will win just like it wins in the Summer Olympics. Ukraine has help from the USA and many powerful countries, so in the long run Ukraine will succeed.

As soon as the door is opened to let Covid exit, this forces its way through the opened door.  Geeze. Can't we all just have a boring year for once?

 

Fishing is supposed to be fun, relaxing, exciting, and for some, an escape from stress.  So topics like this aren't what I want to see here.  It goes against all that.

 

However, this is literally on the forefront of everyone's minds worldwide.  It would be remiss not to at least acknowledge it here.
