carrothead Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Does anyone know how to tell the thrust on one of these motors? It is made by JetCo Industries, and the only other labels on it are one on the control box that says Solid State, and one on the prop unit that says Permanent Magnet Power. It says nothing about thrust or anything. Anybody know? Quote
carrothead Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Nobody have any input? A simple "I have no idea" would be nicer than no response at all. Anybody know anything about it? Quote
Osprey39 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I've never heard of that brand but my only suggestion would be to see if they have website or contact them (if they're still around.) Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 21, 2010 Super User Posted April 21, 2010 Google knows about them, but not the thrust they have. Quote
carrothead Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Yeah, I already Googled it. No, they went out of business a LONG time ago. I think it's weird how they have no markings whatsoever as to the amount of thrust. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted April 21, 2010 Super User Posted April 21, 2010 Nobody have any input? A simple "I have no idea" would be nicer than no response at all. Anybody know anything about it? Well, what did you expect? You didn't tell us if the motor is 12 or 24 volt. You didn't tell us the length of the shaft. You didn't tell us if the motor was bow or transom mount. Knowing that info MIGHT allow someone to SPECULATE on the thrust of the motor. Based on the information you have provided, I can tell you without a doubt that it is a trolling motor that has a certain amount of thrust. : Quote
carrothead Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 It is a 12 volt, and has a 32" shaft. It is also a transom mount. Sorry :-[, I just didn't figure that there could be a whole lot of models of this one, seeing as it has no markings besides what I said. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 No serial #s anywhere? Sometimes they are very small in very difficult to find places........... Quote

Super User Tin Posted April 22, 2010 Super User Posted April 22, 2010 If it is only 12 volt I don't think it can be over 55 pounds of thrust. Given the shortness of the shaft I would guess it is in the upper 20's low 30's. Quote

So anyone who doesn't respond to you is rude ? Well, I didn't mean it like that. I just couldn't find any information on it on the internet, and got kinda frustrated. I guess I was out of line. Quote
