But from what I can remember, they stocked pure Florida's in the early 80's and that's when the lakes (Fork in particular) started taking off. Then they started the SAL program in like 85 or 86 to keep track of the genetics. I am not sure how long they stocked pure Florida's but I would think they would all be F1's at this point. Like I said, I could be wrong, but this would be my opinion. I would imagine that's why they take a swab of all the fish over 7lbs caught in the BPT events, to see if they are F1's. 2 Quote

Personally, I don't think SAL does that much except it's proof that the FL stocking is working and traceable. So in the end, it is working and rather genius. I joined TFF and those guys are hardcore about the SAL program. I got banned because one of the long time members started calling me names because I made a post about people being jealous of Josh Jones. He went off on me and I told him what I thought. I am banned. No big deal though. Although I would like to see his reaction to these last couple JJ fish. I bet he is so upset. 1 Quote

Just look at this guy, he went out with JJ and learned how to use his LS and now has a lake record. I've spent over $1,200 on a shotgun just to kill a few doves. A lesson on how to use LS would be worth it to me(if I had LS). I just wish I could read my Mega 360 LOL 2 Quote

I honestly could catch just as many fish with a finder that told me depth and water temp as I have not taken the time to learn to use them correctly. 1 Quote

I'm sure you're right, knowing your water is most important in my mind. But to me, mega 360 looks really useful. Deep weedline turns and changes give me the best fish in the summer, but are challenging to line up with triangulation and long casts. I think 360 would be super useful for that. scott Quote
