Alex Ball Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Thinking of buying a virtus red diamond rod. Anybody got any experience with them? Quote
Mat_ski Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 They have my interest. Are the blanks rolled in USA? Based in Harrison, Ar. Is it where Ark blanks (for older falcons) were rolled? Quote

I know they took Ark's blank formula and upgraded it. Quote
rangerjockey Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 They are made at the old Ark Rod shop where the Falcon Cara's were made. By the same family I'm told. The models pretty much mimic the Cara's. Stunner is the old Head Turner. Ranger is the Amistad ect. I just got the Finesse jig rod and it's really good. Feels a touch lighter and maybe a bit quicker than the Falcon Cara . Always one of my favorite models going back to when it was called the Eakins jig rod in the lowrider series. The blanks are made by Ark rod.. They have been in the works for at least 2 years that I'm aware of. I will say the build on mine is perfect. I have the Red Diamond/Cork. Many of the tackle shops in the Table Rock/Bull Shoals area are bringing them in or you can order directly from Jewel Baits. Quote
Nick49 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 I recently got the Red Diamond Ranger. 7'3", heavy power, fast action. I got it with the winn grips. Extremely light. Excellent build. Quote
Mat_ski Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Not sure if I missed it on the website, but what guides are they using? Quote
