I picked up some Zman RaZor ShadZs with the intention of using them for jig and chatter bait trailers. I would like to leave the trailer on the jigs when I'm not fishing them.

Has anyone had any problems with the ElaZtech reacting with skirt rubber?

Ill elaborate further...I left a razor shad glued on a chatter bait custom for at least 3-4 months and saw no ill effect.

If you store the jigs with the trailer still on, I have had them develop a deformed "memory".

I laid several different colors of skirt material across a few different Zman baits for at least a few weeks and nothing happened, you're good.

You shouldn't ever have a reaction with silicone or rubber, which jig skirts are made of.

The reaction you may be referring to  with other soft baits using plastisol has been a known issue when mixed with ElazTech.

Ive had problems storing them in plastic boxes though where they deform or even melt. Is there a type of box that wont do that?

I called Zman about this very issue.  I was told that it was the chemical reaction of Elaztech and PVC which what these boxes are made from same as plastic baits.  He told me Flambeau boxes didn't react the same way so I ordered some.  There is still some warping but not as bad.

I wonder if there is some sort of liner that could be put in. I just hate carrying bags. Atleast when bank/ wading
