Super User clayton86 Posted February 19, 2022 Super User Posted February 19, 2022 I don’t understand a word they are saying but I’ve been listening to a lot of the German metal/rock bands. I’ve always listened to some rammstien which is probably why my Pandora account has been throwing more German metal at me and I’m starting to really like it and play it the most when working. lately been a lot of Megahertz. Like I said I don’t understand any of the lyrics they sound good. I’ve looked up the translation to some of the songs but reading it in English isn’t the same as hearing it in German it sounds better in German. anyone else listen to music in a different language they don’t understand haha. 1 Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 19, 2022 Super User Posted February 19, 2022 About as close to a european language song I listen to and really like is an old 80's remake from and alt band Goldfinger. Just the last verse is in German. This one makes it into the workout playlist ... 1 Quote

The rest of the world excluding North America does it regularly because of the popularity of American music. 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 23, 2022 Global Moderator Posted February 23, 2022 A guy I went to high school with is in that kind of band, I believe they are called white chapel. I want to say they toured Europe several times Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted February 25, 2022 Super User Posted February 25, 2022 Love this band Quote
schplurg Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Mainly Rammstein. Check out herzeleid.com (I think) for lyrics translations. Some of their stuff is quite clever and humorous, some just a tad disturbing! One song is even for us - Spawning Time (translated). Uh ya not exactly. I like instrumental music though which needs no spoken language Lately tenor sax greats...John Coltrane, Stan Getz. Just discovering it. I'm a gigantic Billie Holiday fan and am branching out. Edit: Almost forgot Sepultura (spelling?). Brazilian metal band my ex-wife told me to check out long ago. I didn't care for it. Quote
