Hey everyone, so I had a garmin 12" and a humminbird installed on my front deck.  I have a bay boat that doubles as a family fun boat.  I also keep the units off when I am not using the boat since I have to keep it at a storage unit.  When I took off the units for the first time yesterday, I realized that the cables won't reach to my anchor well, so they are just laying there on the gunwale.  Anyone have any suggestions on caps for these cables or some way to protect them from the weather?  Thank you

I just installed it inside out.

The logo was a little much for me.

Work as designed but Will Not do much in the way of protecting open cable plugs from the weather.

There are a lot of easy but not fancy ways you could cover them. Cut the fingers out of latex gloves and slide them on. You could use small balloons in the same way.

Thank you all. Yeh I guess I wasn’t very specific. I have a cable guard like that for the transducer cables and all going to my tm, but I was referring to the other side of my deck where I just have 4 or 5 cables coming of of the gunwhale right under where the df would be. So just exposed cables…about 8” long. I need to find some way of cleaning it up and protecting the plugs. Thanks again!

Any other ideas?  I might try to find a way to have them tuck the wires into the anchor well where the other wires are tucked into. Thoughts?

I wrap Christmas light extensions in Glad wrap and toss them on the ground for over a month in December come rain shine or snow.  I’ve never had a problem.

Ok cool thanks. I really was looking for a way to protect them and get them out of the way.  I guess the only option is to try to tuck them into the anchor well. I just can't believe they don't make caps for them
