What am I missng? Shimano sensilite, I think is a one piece, but they are like ghosts, shimano slx sells has a medium light one piece, also check diawas rods, right now a one piece light may be hard to find, a medium light rod I wish you the best of luck in your searches 1 Quote
Super User Bankc Posted February 11, 2022 Super User Posted February 11, 2022 6' is going to be hard to find. Most rods that go down to 1/16 are geared towards crappie and panfish, and they really love their 8'+ rods right now. The best I can think of that meets your criteria is a BPS Fish Eagle in light. 6'6", 1/16-3/8oz. and is available in a 2 piece. I have one in medium light, and it's not bad. It's a bit heavy for what it is and not super sensitive, but not terribly so. A decent rod for the money. Quote
Super User JustJames Posted February 11, 2022 Super User Posted February 11, 2022 Spinning or casting? Can it be a little longer? What target species? 1 Quote
Classdwhite Posted February 11, 2022 Author Posted February 11, 2022 Spinning. I really want it 6’. I’m targeting trout st croix triumph/premier would be perfect I love the feel, they’re just 1 pc. Quote
Finessegenics Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Looking for something similar. Want to get myself a trout/creek rod for this upcoming season so I’ll be following this thread closely. In my research so far, there is an Okuma Celilo which is 6ft but 2 pieces. It is rated 1/32-1/4 oz, it’s an UL…so not exactly what you’re looking for. Quote
JS8588 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 If you can live with 6'6 https://thehookuptackle.com/products/orochi-xxx-mult-piece-rods?_pos=1&_psq=slend&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=39510043885735 I have & enjoy this rod. Quote

I have one and it is an amazing rod for trout if the extra 6 inches isn’t a problem. Can easily break it down and walk along a creek 1 Quote
Classdwhite Posted February 12, 2022 Author Posted February 12, 2022 What kind of reel do you have on it? I was planning on a stradic 1000 but wonder how it’ll balance on a 6’6” er Quote

I was planning on a stradic 1000 but wonder how it’ll balance on a 6’6” er I currently have a 2000 size Regal LT on it which weighs 6.7oz I believe and balances really well. A 1000 Stradic is about 6.5-6.6oz so should be about the same Quote
Abby Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 The okuma celilo is a really nice rod. Currently on sale at Amazon. The field and stream rod is a nice one for trout. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted February 12, 2022 Super User Posted February 12, 2022 X3 on the Celilo - I got the 7'6" UL for my crappie fishing, and it's really a nice rod for the price. 1 Quote
