Trying to pick a spot. The unit is going on the console, and I need feedback, pro and con, as to where to mount it. Was thinking about in the rod locker in front of the console or up under the console. Any problems with the installation or activation?

Thanks for the help guys.

I mounted the LSS1 on the bottom of my jackplate, in the center of my rig.  I mounted the networking box inside my driver side rod locker, I can put it in the flush, out of the way and its always dry.

Running the cables were a pain for me, but other than that installation was a breeze.  You'll hear people scuff at the extra networking box, but the benefits are pretty incredible if your using two units.

New jack plate is coming in any day. That is certainly where it is going. I was wondering about the electrical box. Thanks for the help.

Jack, either place you mention will work, but I prefer the rod locker.

Thanks Todd.

Is this the Todd Driscoll that works for the parks and wildlife up at rayburn?

Hey Jack, that's me.  Beginning this month, Lowrance has me monitoring numerous forums, helping out with what I can.

Todd, Jack, does this mean that Lowrance is trying to get its act back together after the Linda Colt debacle?
