Super User LrgmouthShad Posted February 3, 2022 Super User Posted February 3, 2022 Don’t think it matters to me whether the claws float or not. Bass seem to eat the jig either way. @Catt and @WRBthank you for some insight though, very cool stuff 1 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted February 3, 2022 Super User Posted February 3, 2022 There have been a lot of times over the years when I have been working a jig and feel one hard tap. I've learned to stop the jig when that happens and let it sit for a few seconds. The bass will come back and start swimming off with it. If I continue working the jig back after that one tap, then no more bites. I'm thinking the bass is trying to stun or injure the jig to make it easier to eat. 4 Quote
Derek1 Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Great info everyone. I can’t pass up this opportunity to show a pic of the craws I picked up at the show this past weekend. I just couldn’t walk past them. I think I can catch atleast one fish this season on the big one. 2 Quote

Craw, or bait fish. A tube can cover both. Yep. Tube baits are very versatile. Bos brand named ones are pretty decent imo, and I use the magnum flipping tube a lot. Quote
