dramabeats Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Looking for a reel for lipless cranks and shallow diving cranks. Any ideas? Was looking at the lews bb1 pro Thanks Quote
Phil77 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 The new BB1 looks pretty slick. I use the Hypermag for traps and square bills, it has done very well. Quote

I actually have a BB1 in 5:1:1 and I'm not a big fan of the braking system. It also seems a little slow for lipless Quote

I have some Lew's and they are definitely workhorses. But, for refinement and smoothness the Tatula line is hard to beat at their price point. I really like how the Elite series will launch lighter baits with abandon and little fanfare. 1 Quote

Seems its more shimano and daiwa these days my BB1 always ends up with a little overrun unless i crank the spool tension, have not tried the higher end reels yet Quote

My rod locker has Lew's, Daiwa, and Shimano reels. I often expect there to be a big explosion in there the next time I open it up. All kidding aside, I always find myself gravitating to the Tatula reels in my locker every time I fish. they just fit me better, I guess. 1 Quote
