I am soup obsessed as it fits my style of cooking, a burst of activity (making a huge vat of soup) and then a period of laziness (eating a huge vat of soup).

I have been on a huge Korean food kick of late and I have been making kimchi-jjigae a lot.

I didn't grow up eating it but something about the flavor profiles of Korean cuisine is all I want these days.

I traveled to Houston for the first time in December.  Had a poblano soup for the first time.  I found a recipe and made it shortly after,  so good

Surprised no one has mentioned Caldo Verde yet...yum.

Nice. I was also going to say menudo, but Ricky Martin is more difficult to corner in the coop than one might think... :)

I like soup, especially in the winter. Favourites are vegetable beef, chicken and clam chowder

Yep, beans really give the ol trumpet a nice strong sound.

The musical fruit.

I remember a song we sang as a kid.  It goes something like this, beans beans delicious fruit the more you eat the more you toot,  the more you toot the better you feel, so eat some beans with every meal.

I love a good pasta fagioli soup. If you must have store bought I recommend Rao’s which comes in a jar.

Hatteras style clam chowder.  Do a google search, it's a real thing.

Love a good chowder. I have a seafood bisque cooking up right now. The Hatteras Chowder is very similar to Rhode Island's version. Very tastey indeed. Being from MA, I grew up having a cream based chowder.

I couldn't tell you the last time I had that. I'm guessing it was when my grandmother was still alive. Thanks for sharing, I'll have to make that.
