Has anyone else been so desperate to feel even a little tug, that you've considered tossing a line (maybe tiny sewing thread) into your kids fish tank??? I NEED spring! I need to be on the boat with my fishing buddy, hunting for some action! Anyone else?

Easy cure.  We are loading up and going to Okeechobee in a couple of weeks.  That’ll keep me happy till we can get out again here in Virginia.  Will be going to St Clair end of May.

I’m thinking about how it would look if I got busted standing in his room with my Snoopy pole.

Bring your flipping stick! They're spawning in and around some heavy junk! These cold fronts will surely push them even further in.

I can’t believe that someone that’s based in Texas has any problem with finding fish right now. I can’t even launch a boat for another 2 months minimum, but that still doesn’t stop us from catching fish. Plenty of ice fishing to be had up here,  surely you can catch something “way down there” right now?

Yeah I don't get it. I live in Iowa..we have 15in of ice and its gonna be -5 overnight...if I was Jones ing that bad to fish I'd hit the ice. If I was in Texas or alot of other places I wouldn't be sitting at home wanting to fish.

I play league 8-ball and I play Call of Duty competitively as other hobbies, so I get more invested in those hobbies in the winter to hold me over. I'm fishing again before I know it. Life is too short for one obsession.

At least your ice is thick enough to stand/sit on. And who said I'm sitting at home wanting to fish. Looks to me like you can't read very well, I never said I haven't been fishing, they're just not biting.

Good for you. I never said it was too cold, never implied I haven't been fishing. I was merely stating that the bite sucks right now. You people are far too serious

Maybe I misunderstood, you came off a little rude so I figured my attitude was appropriate. My apologies

I also apologize if I came across as rude..was not my intent. I read your original post and assumed you weren't fishing not just fishing without success. To answer correctly now that I have this info- I totally get where you are coming from. Most years I would be going stir crazy by now and ice fishing alot to hold me over until my preferred open water. This year is different because I have a new job and a diet\lifestyle change I'm focusing on so its not getting to me...yet anyhow.

Well to get back to the subject, maybe as a hobby one could build a tiny scale model of a fishing pond. Make it an actual fish tank and fill it with some types of fish, maybe even baby bass. Put little trees around it and stuff. Docks, rocks.

Then make some super-micro fishing rods and go fishing. Some people do model trains, why not model fishing ponds.....would be kinda fun to design maybe.

I started this out as a joke but hmmm :)

I think the economy and everything going on in the world has people on edge.  This was obviously a light hearted post that has somehow turned judgmental.  People need to lighten up and talk about things we can all agree on…like which is best, mono or fluoro.
