I love the translation! Not making fun. I find it fascinating.

That reel look really interesting reel. From the top looks like alphas SV TW but the palm side similar to Tatula 100. If it is alphas frame, I’m sell my core 50mg for this one.

Beyond looking more, 32mm spool and 85mm handle, 80 size reel (alphas is 800) This might be an blackout alphas. Thanks for making me spending money, my wife’s gonna hate you.

Man I can’t stop searching for more info on this reel now. 180g VS 175g (alphas)

and no mentioned of SV or spool material. The spool capacity is about the same as alphas. This spool might be cheapened out G1 spool (hopefully no shaft). This might fill the gap between my alphas and 21 zillion.

Interesting ?.  I figured it was a finesse casting reel until I noticed it holds 100yds of 12lb line.

Any idea what hen it will be available in the states? I was thinking about picking up a Tatula 100 or a CT to save a couple bucks but man this one really looks good.

I too thought it looked very similar to the Alphas.  That said, I wonder if it'll have the short shaft spool like the Alphas or the long shaft like the larger Tatula models.

Did you check from specification or just look at picture? They are using other reels picture, but if it is indeed Alphas frame, there is high possibility to be free floating spool.

Edit alphas and this Tatula use same size spool per specification 32/21mm.

I translated the page then scrolled down. Before the Tester's impression it shows pics. Seems odd they'd include that info sandwiched in if it doesn't apply.

I don’t doubt you at all, just know that Daiwa use other reels in this case Zillion to show some features same when you look at Alphas.  But nevertheless I don’t think it is matter now we just have to wait until Daiwa give more info.
BTW per Daiwa website, Tatula use same spool diameter as alphas, I think, I can say now 98% chance of getting this reel.

Some concepts in Japanese just don't transliterate.

What does this even mean?

however, this was the first finesse rod I imported through a broker 13 years ago, and it's more than earned its keep.

How/where did you find the translator/translation?

Chrome browser translates really well.

Google on your phone will let you photo text and give you the translation embedded in the same photo - here's a tutorial from my buddy Tom on FFR

The same frame, similar spool size, same free floating spool...  Put a SV spool in it, it's pretty much a JDM 21 Alphas SV TW, which can be had now for ~$200.  I love mine; it's been a joy to cast light lures.
