I like the specs on this rod. I am thinking it might be good stick for finesse jigs and small trigs for river smallies. If you have it please chime in.

Casting or spinning?

Posted

I have a 7'5" MH Psycho Stick that I got from a friend. I've only had it on the water a couple of times, but it's easily the nicest rod I have.

I've noticed feeling things I don't feel with my other rods. It's light, sensitive, casts well, and it looks impressive. The handle has a bit of a narrow feel, but it hasn't been a problem for me. I haven't had a lot of experience with it yet, but I really like it so far.

I think @roadwarrior was planning to do a writeup on it, but I don't know if he's finished it yet.

I have the 7' 2" M spinning and really like it. I actually use it for small T-rigs and finesse jigs quite a bit.

The rod is a GREAT value. Well balanced, light and excellent components.

I don’t have the psycho stick but I have the Helios ax mh casting rod which the model down.  I have to say that it is an absolute pleasure to fish . Light, balanced, great caster.  I prefer it to many of my more expensive rods.  I would think you would be happy with the psycho stick.
