ThatFishingGuy Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Oof, that might explain why I haven't heard anything back about my package that was marked as "delivered" but I never received. Quote
ironbjorn Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Errrbody getting the Omicron. So many businesses around here have temporarily shut down until staff is Covid free and can come back. Quote
schplurg Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 It doesn't seem like it would be difficult for a business like that to have people do that work from home. I know my insurance guy is working from home right now. I'm working more from home too. A lot of businesses started doing this over a year ago due to Covid so people could continue to work and the business could stay open while keeping their employees safer. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted January 19, 2022 Super User Posted January 19, 2022 It's getting bad when..........I have to book an appointment to get a new watch band put on my watch..☹️ Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted January 19, 2022 Super User Posted January 19, 2022 Nothing much is any different here in Florida, except… Several of my friends and my pastor caught it and all are or have gotten better quickly. I think I may have had it 2 weeks ago for 7-10 days. Cough and felt bone weary. ( I went fishing anyway , lol…) Nurse at the docs office told me over the phone to rest and take whatever medicine I had. Tried to schedule a test and got the run around with automated answering machines at drug stores. Doctors office wouldn’t even let me come in. ( That was a first ) now I’m feeling nearly normal. But our businesses seem to all still be open except dr offices which seems backwards. I rarely order stuff over the phone so I can’t speak to that. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted January 19, 2022 Global Moderator Posted January 19, 2022 They never answered anyways and took 2-4 days to respond to emails. It was quite frustrating but my Dobyns rod is finally on its way after 10 days on sloooooooooow communication with them. Luckily lakes are frozen here so no rush, but was still maddening. 3 Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 TW has rapidly been slipping in the customer service department. My last couple orders took almost 2 weeks to even get invoiced! Everything was basic stuff that was in stock. Emails frequently go unanswered at all. It is what it is though. We have options.. ... 2 Quote
jimanchower Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 It's fair to say: if you need it quickly, don't look to TW right now. I'm not complaining. In fact, I placed an order today that I don't expect to receive for at least two weeks. No big deal. In non-pandemic times they were amazing, and even in these rough times they're still really good, albeit a little slow. Quote
Dogface Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I tried calling at least 3 times last week about my order. The phone was never answered. I sent an email. That was not answered. I received an email yesterday saying my order has shipped. According to the email some items have been shipped, some are on backorder and some not accounted for. They are not in the order or on backorder. There was no explanation for the items that were not listed as shipped or backordered. Do I reorder or buy somewhere else or just keep hoping they show up someday. ? Quote
schplurg Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I don't do hope and faith so I know what I would do. 2 Quote
scbassin Posted January 20, 2022 Author Posted January 20, 2022 This is not rocket science! When your employees can not get to work because of sickness, Weather. or government regulations & shipping what do you expect? T/W is not the only company that is having problems & I am positive they do not like this mess either. 2 Quote
GRiver Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I placed an order a few days ago, checked on it a couple days later. They gave me two tracking numbers, ok kinda weird, order wasn’t that big. Checked tracking, one is on its way to Indiana. Sent an email to them, no response yet. I’m sure it will all work out. The way I look at …It’s not a heart or a kidney, no one’s going die if my stupid tubes (various colors)or my Booyah one knocker Tennessee blush show up later. Frustrating yes, life threatening no. All I’m really asking for is for them to change their recording from “emails will be responded to in a day” to “we will respond to your email as soon as possible”. I know, it’s first world problems. I’m still going to use TW, and this was my only frustration with them all the years I’ve used them. Quote

Super User DitchPanda Posted January 20, 2022 Super User Posted January 20, 2022 I haven't experienced any problems. I ordered a rod and about $50 worth of baits and terminal tackle last week..after my discount code and gift card it was only $93. Got the tackle Tuesday and the rod yesterday. Had a confirmation email in a few hours and a shipping email in 2 days. Quote

suzuki2903 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I wondered why my last two orders have taken over a week to process! Still waiting to show shipped . Tw is definitely lower on my list to order from nowadays which is a shame since they have alot of products ! Well when they’re actually in stock…. 1 Quote

leinad Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 no problems with tw put an order in this morning on east coast and ups has it and it's on its way(same day processing and that seems to be the norm). had i think 30+ transactions in the last year and other than a 3 or 4 day delay in processing the orders in may/june of 2021 (covid) and 1 or 2 day delay during their christmas sale no unreasoable delays for me. ThatFishingGuy Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Eventually got through to TW, had a replacement package that was supposed to arrive today. Again marked by UPS as delivered, and there is nothing here. Quote

I was inside at around 9:30pm I get the email that my package was delivered right then. I go outside and nothing there. I called UPS and they basically called me a liar. Told them I could send them my surveillance footage so they could point out exactly where they saw their driver come to my house. They eventually called me back and said it would be there the next day. I'm guessing the drivers run out of time and mark things delivered to make it look like they met the delivery deadline? Quote

Fed Ex is worse than UPS about this in my experience but I've had it happen with both companies in the past year. Everything has showed up on my porch within a day or two. 1 Quote
