Nice collection ~

Seems the price of FC might not be your biggest concern.

That's why I am trying to slow down.. My fishing spending issues have been bad in the past.. I think I am doing better but I keep finding horribly good deals. I need to join a tackle addicts program or something. I have started giving some of my stuff to family and friends I fish with but there is still a LOT left! :D

You have more rod brands than I have rods.

I own Abu Garcia, Bass Pro, Fenwick, G. Loomis, Dobyns, Kistler, Diawa, 13, St. Croix, and Powell, in all shapes and sizes.

I assume I’m like others who try different brands until they find their ‘fit’.

I’ve really grown to like Kistler for their build quality and overall feel (not forgetting they’re made in the USA, have excellent customer service and Trey Kistler answered the phone one day when I called to pay an invoice), but break out the Abu’s for certain applications.

My wife has one custom made Kistler.  She’s smarter than me…

For years I fished Shimano and Berkley.  I tried a Cashion on the recommendation from a friend. I was Highly impressed and bought another. And another...lol

I plan to phase out all the Shimanos(quality issues) and go with Cashion.

I another thread I mentioned consistency and consolidation and how that resonates with me.  So that has driven my rods.  Also, I fish from a Kayak, so carry 4-5 rods for every trip and have 2 that I swap in and out depending on the lake and time of year.  So for me:

Falcon (all but one)

Shimano (one)

I have some older rods that I've phased out now that I or my dad had 15 year ago before I went to the UK.  I have them here and used them some last year, but won't really this year.  I also have my fly rods, all of my customs (which I built a while ago), some saltwater gear, and some other randoms that aren't bass gear. If I was in a full rig and carried 20 rods in the boat maybe I'd vary a little, but I'm happy with the falcons and will continue to use them.

I just have broad coverage with one brand:

Kistler Zbone

Kistler Helium

Kistler KLX

Kistler Feel N Reel

Kistler Magnesium

Kistler Argon

Kistler Classic Graphite, etc.

Maybe about 50 in total (and maybe 25 - 35 of other brands). All I know is all of my rod racks are full — and so are the rod lockers in the boat. (And yes, my wife has been in my boat/tackle storage unit. She just shakes her head.)

I try to be consistent. Most of my rods are Daiwa. I own a couple of St Croix rods to fill gaps that Daiwa did not offer.

Please tell me about your Daiwa BLX rods.

I’m seriously interested. Can’t find much information online about them.

Thx.

I own the 7'3"ML+ (fast) and 7'4" MH (mod fast) in the 'limber' series.  Very nice, well-built rods that are balanced and have the nicest cork of any rod I own or have seen.  I can't comment on sensitivity because I've only thrown moving baits with them.  The 7-3ml+ is my fav... it's a 110g rod with mh power and a soft tip (rated 1/7-7/8oz) that can do several things.

Counting casting, spinning and fly rods:  ALX, Abu, Airrus, Ark, Berkley, BPS, Cabela's, Daiwa, Hurricane, Fenwick, Falcon, Kistler, Witch Doctor, Shimano, Olympic GraphiteLeader, Fishing 13, Hammer, iRod, Lew's, Okuma, Phenix, Powell, Quantum, Ace Hawk, MajorCraft, GLoomis, Echo Carbon XL, Redington Trout Classic, Sage, Dobyns, Field & Stream, Megabass, and St. Croix.

Custom: MHX HM, Rainshadow RX7, Baston RX8, and Lamiglas Infinity.

Several brands are represented by only one rod.  Yup.  Need to downsize, but only about 4 rods that I wouldn't cry over selling.

And that my friend is why you shouldn’t/don’t need to sell them. Your comment sums it up perfectly in my opinion.

I can’t find the Limber rods anywhere, sold out in Japan to.
I’ll keep looking. Want a heavy for long casting toads in heavy cover.
To many misses and shorter casts with the broom sticks out there, they wear me out to.
want 3/8-2 + limber.

Primarily SC because I think they make a great product and I usually stop by their factory once a year on the way to my musky lake.  If I have any warranty issues I prefer to take care of them in person.

Rainshadow is the name of blanks you can purchase from https://www.rainshadowrodblanks.com/

and build your rod with personally selected parts. It's not a pre-built rod like a Dobyns or St. Croix.
