Does anybody have any info on the upcoming Expride reboot rods? I've heard a lot of talk about them but was only able to find one picture of a spinning model.

Looks too have the Zodias rear monocoque style handle.

That's exactly what I was thinking also, about the white section seen in the picture. I'm also hoping they do away with the cork lock nut and opt for something like on the Adrena.

I would hope for an updated guide train or blank improvements as well, but I doubt it’s in the cards.

Im not a huge fan of the handle, but as long as they stay around $299 I think they’ll be great.

Really wish they incorporated the Loomis MBR action in a couple of them.

What's wrong with the blank and guides now? I actually love the blanks and the fast actions. I use the Adrena for certain things do to their more moderate tapers.

They are definitely raising the price so I would hope they give us more than just a monocoque rear handle!

I just really dig the MBR tapers, it’s why I also love a lot of the Megabass blanks.

Im good with the guides, but I would prefer improvements even if they are minor. For example the victory line for st croix is very similar to the avids,  but they made slight tweaks to the blank, reel seat, and guide placements to try and push the line forward.

Shimano has a habit of repackaging the same product with a single flashy change like handle or color.

I’m happy with my Expride rods as they are.
interested in what they are changing.
Recently bough 8 Kistler’s. The Japanese Toray blanks are super light. Won’t be able fish with them for a few months.
Expride rods I have will stay in the boat, they’re not going anywhere.

im fine with the guides and the blank. of course if they improve them thats fine too as long as there isnt a big price jump. i could go for the MBR actions though, id like to see something between the medium and the medium heavy they have now.

When I'm looking at purchasing a rod, appearance isn't nearly as important as other traits. But I agree. If I'm spending a decent amount on a rod, it's a major plus if it looks nice as well. Hopefully the white on there doesn't make the final cut. The current Expride's are some of the best looking rods around IMO.

I love mine too except for the lock nut being cork. To fix that I wrap it in carbon fiber. ?

Here they are on their website: https://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/Shimano_Product_Page.P-EXPRIDE_CASTING_B.html#product_image_2

Only change seems to be the monocoque handle? Really glad the price didn't go way up though.

Yeah that and some minor cosmetic changes. Also, I noticed actions have changed on some models too. For example the 73xh frog rod is now labeled as being moderate action but the lure rating increased to start at 5/8oz instead of the old 1/2oz. And the 711xh is now only rated to 2oz instead of the old 3oz.
