I know the sizes of the hooks I want to use and I know I rather not use straight shank but can't seem to decide if I would like round bend offset or ewg

I'm leaning towards the ewg but was curious on what others would recommend

I go with a 2/0 - 4/0 round bend offset depending on size plastic. Not a fan of EWG or Straight shanks.

I'm from the other school, round bend offset hooks here.  Most are thinner wire diameter and I feel that helps with hook-ups.

i like round bend, but as you can see others like ewg. you may have to experiment and see what you like.

Round Bend or EWG are both fine in my book, I believe the key is to have a thin/normal gauge hook. Sets much easier than a thick hook and since you usually have so much line out with a Carolina rig, the thinner hook penetrates easier at distance than a thick one.
