Yep going ice fishing this weekend.  Will be another month or 2 before I can even think if river fishing

I tried yesterday, like 24f temps with a little wind.  Water was freezing on my line as I was working the jig back to me, it would crack and fall off as the line when into the tiptop.  I gave it a go for like 20min but as soon as my hand got wet I gave up and just went for  a hike.

Been ice fishing and plan to go at least a dozen more times before ice out!  It's a hoot when you can get into a big mess of panfish and/or perch.

Can't do nothing here. 

Enough ice to eliminate launching, not enough for ice fishing. 

Guess I'll watch football. Lol

My dad was from SW VA, they said you if you wanted sunlight this time of year, you better bring it through a pipeline
