I have a 55 lb. Motorguide trolling motor that is pretty hard to engage.  The button seems worn out.  Is there any way to salvage it?  It's in the shop now being dewinterized but from what I remember last year, there is a screw that attaches the button.  I was just wondering if I could find a part for it and get it fixed?

Thanks.

yes, you can get the part & fix it. if it's anything like mine, there are 2 set screws and a couple of spade/lug connections. I've replaced mine a few times, it's one of the easiest fixes there is. MG parts are very easy to get.
