It runs about $400-$450 compared to the Met at $300-$350 (JDM prices). Is it worth the extra $100> maybe, I have yet to find a flaw with it mechanically. It's perfect on every cast. The only thing that bugs me is that when it's cold, the reel is like picking up an ice cube but that has always been true of the Antares line. It is a little heavier than the Met but not much. Both reels are great though. Quote

I will completely blame you if I end up swapping all my Mets out, lol. Quote

I wouldn't swap all your Mets. Its not, to me, that kind of reel. It's just a reel that has that "It factor" to it. Kind of like a Rolex or a Rolls Royce> a pleasure but not practical (it could be though). For a more practical, I am going to fish the same one on every setup in a tournament reel, I would look at the Steez SV TW or even the CT (almost BFS). I like these just slightly better than the Met for everyday use but not by much. Each one of these reels is special in its own way> Each having their own sort of personality. Quote
Super User Koz Posted January 19, 2022 Super User Posted January 19, 2022 I went and got a haircut today and the price jumped $5 since I last got it cut. This year I increased the price of my hotel rooms 12% on weekdays and 30% on weekends. The rates will go 20%-30% more when Phase I of renovations is complete in a few months. The price of everything continues to climb and I don't see an end in sight, especially if interest rates rise. Quote

Theoretically rising interest rates are supposed to curb inflation. But perception is reality, and prices will probably keep going up because of other issues like supply chain, so higher interest rates won’t make a difference. Yep, no end in sight IMO. 1 Quote
mrpao Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 One thing that's not going up is my pay. I guess I'll just have to buy less this year. 1 Quote
Jaderose Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 $50 for a haircut? This is why I like living in rural Missouri. I get 3-4 haircuts a year. Put on the #2 and take it all off. $15 bucks a pop and I usually get a new ball cap every year that the barber has made for his customers. Joe, (the barber) usually gets at least one of my wife's coconut cream pies every year. It all works out...lol 2 1 Quote

thunderblack Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Just wait for the trucker issues in 4 days. With mandates coming on 22nd at the border of Canada there are going to be major issues with receiving products (not JDM though). Hope these drivers stand their ground. 1 Quote

garroyo130 Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Theyve got enough name recognition at this point that they can start selling doyos with their name on them and make a fortune. I can definitely see that happening ... Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted May 16, 2023 Super User Posted May 16, 2023 it's nice to be able to peek at the past and realize the present. i still think MB sold a BUNCH of rods despite the price hike last year. Those Levantes are still sold out quite often. dont worry folks. the price will drop soon...like right after i buy a few. it is how my world rolls. i'll let you know when i take delivery so you can go cruise the new website pricing. 2 Quote
