I’m expecting January to be even worse. The increase is close to the price of levante btw. I empathize with you. It isn't a great feeling to have a necessity become a burden. We are complaining about small money in the grand scheme of things. I'm passionate about fishing, and enjoy the gear side just as much. This debate isn't about the cost of living, its the rising cost of something we're all passionate about. 2 Quote

DINK WHISPERER Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 If a certain product is worth an increase I don't think it's unreasonable. But, MB is not one that I could justify! They are plagued with breakage and QC issues. I've tried the Orochi XX and US destroyer lines. Both had issues right away. One broke(XX) and the other was literally falling apart(lock nut and handle). But that's the beauty of having so many options in the fishing world. Let your wallets do the talking. 2 Quote

Sphynx Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 These threads are better than a live comedy show and a movie all rolled into one, only remotely constructive thing I have to add is that nothing is ever as cheap as it is right now, prices always go up, I can't remember the last time anything really decreased in price in any hobby of mine, fishing is no exception, and there is precisely diddly squat I can do to change it, just gotta roll with the punches. 1 1 1 Quote

KP Duty Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 My p5 kasumi was $348 from japan. Shipping was $65 for 2 rods in the same tube. I buy from U. S. retailers mostly, but if you want a megabass....I'd go to a jdm site. Quote

I'm sure we're going to get hit with some big jumps from a lot of companies this year. I'm into electric guitars and those have blown up in cost, and getting things from pots to strings at times has been a crap shoot. Hopefully we're not looking at $750 NRX+ and $485 IMX-Pro's in 3 months. 1 Quote

My hair cut is pretty straight forward, no need to spend extravagant money on a haircut. I would rather pay her $20 and save the extra $20 or $30 for something I actually wanted. Plus, where I live, any barber crazy enough to even attempt to charge that kind of money for a man's haircut wouldn't be in business very long. 1 Quote
