Brett's_daddy Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Saw this on Facebook and even though it was meant as a joke...it actually looks like a pretty dang good idea for when you're out on the boat and just need something to snack on . 7 3 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted January 10, 2022 Super User Posted January 10, 2022 That looks awesome ! But whamming all those goodies into my pie hole with Megastrike fingers, might add a little more than I was bargaining for. #stankus A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted January 10, 2022 Super User Posted January 10, 2022 I can't think of a single person I have ever fished with who would (could?) use the word charcuterie...whatever the hell that means 1 2 5 Quote

I rarely bring food but if I do it’s food that I don’t have to directly touch with my bare hands like a banana or a sandwich in a napkin can I don’t want any food that goes down the hatch to initially touched by my fishy, grubby hands lol. 1 Quote

After 20 years of construction I am just happy to have snacks on the boat. That little extra fish and/or bait juice never hurt anyone. Also dude wipes on the boat are multi purpose if the hands are too gross. 1 Quote
newriverfisherman1953 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Nope not for me. And if my fishing partner broke that out, I probably wouldn’t bring him again!? Quote
HaydenS Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 We’ve got a restaurant here, that is called the Snackle Box, sits right on the lake. They’ve got good biscuits and gravy and Chicken Fried steak. Quote

volzfan59 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I've always got an apple, granola bar, a few bottles of water and one soft drink when I go out. I try to only drink one soft drink a day. Some days are better than others. If I think it will be an 8+ hour day out, I'll bring a turkey sandwich. Quote

Lead Head Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 There was a time that put a lot of effort into not handling my food too much with fishy hands. After a few times where I was meticulously using a napkin trying not to contaminate my food, only to shove a pinch of tobacco in my mouth that had as much fish/powerbait flavor as wintergreen... I gave up. Now I just rinse my hands in the water, wipe them on my clothes (for better or worse) and tell myself I like any extra hints of "seasoning" that show up. 1 Quote

Super User GreenPig Posted January 11, 2022 Super User Posted January 11, 2022 I'd have serious concerns over any real fisherman that's willing to give up the lure storage space of a 3700 for food.? #PRIORITIES Quote

Holetail Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 After spending an average of 3-4 day trips offshore on a commercial fishing boat when I was younger, a little possible bass slime or scent wouldn’t keep from eating anything if I was hungry. We would even carry wasabi and soy on trips so if we caught a small yellowfin, we could have the freshest sashimi possible. At least we were evolved enough to not use the bait knives as utensils!
