bass.slayer69 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I am going to be in Naples for a couple of days in the middle of March and am looking to do some fishing. I believe I am 2 miles inland, and am open to salt, fresh, brackish, or whatever. Bass are what I am used to. Just looking for some basic tips/knowledge - what to throw, where, etc. Not looking for any specific spots, just general insight to the area. Thanks. Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted January 10, 2022 Super User Posted January 10, 2022 Not sure about salt unless you hire a guide, should be good fishing that time of year. There is always fishing off the Naples Pier too but it gets crowded. As far as freshwater, there are ponds near many intersections throughout Naples. Just have to park, cast the areas you can access then on to the next. Topwater in the morning, plastics during the rest of the day. Lots of 1-2 lb largemouth, sometimes bigger ones present. 1 Quote
Super User geo g Posted January 15, 2022 Super User Posted January 15, 2022 Alligator Alley just west of naples. Peacock are out in full force. Top water and small crank baits will do the trick! Quote
