As most know Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits was sold and purchased by another company.  GSM.  They allowed us to release the new logo today.  Be advised I will still answer any questions and keep you appraised with new developments from the new owners. #Yamamoto

Don't care what the package looks like as long as the Senkos are the same.

What is this the 3rd or 4th packaging change? As long as baits are made the same (and hopefully made in the same location) I don’t care how “modern” the “updated” packaging looks ‘cause they catch fish.

Just let us know when they are planning on changing the price, that way they can be stocked up on before hand!?

You guys are a tough crowd.  ? I put the new logo up in case you see new advertisements and think it’s a fake company.  I have been assured that at present, there’s no plans to change anything.  I will for sure let you know if anything changes.  My association with the company has always been because I believe in the product and not because of sponsorship or paid promotion.  If all that went away I would still be buying them at retail.  I bought them at retail long before I was offered a position.  I have been offered many opportunities with other plastics manufacturers and have turned them all down.  If the new ownership does anything to compromise the product I have come to know, I will be the first to call them out on it.

I read  'Yama-motor'...I doubt that was intended effect, though.    I always sort of like 'GYCB'....don't think I've ever referred to Senkos (or other GYCB) as 'Yamamotos'

I just went to the website and while there may be a few less colors available, I see all of the Kut tails on there.  Is there a specific color you have gotten in the past that you can no longer get?  I am very basic in my color selections so I have to refer back to the master catalog for colors.

I'm stoking up anyway, they will start their cost reduction projects really quick to recover their investment.

This is just my opinion and you might be right but Yamamoto baits are already at the top of the food chain in price and I can’t see much wiggle room in a price increase that wouldn’t push many over to cheaper knockoffs.  Now if they come out with some new designs, then all bets are off.

216 Pumpkin w/Black & Gold
Amber Honey w/ honey 182
Clear w/Broze 200
Smoke w/Black & Copper163

Been waiting a long time for these but they got rid of them.

I just looked at the master catalog for 2021 and none of those colors are offered in any of the Kut Tails.   So, GYCB discontinued those colors before the buyout.  It’s not been unusual for them to discontinue colors over the years if demand isn’t there.  I have some friends in Michigan that use a discontinued color of twin tailed grub so they all get together and make a custom order.  I think it used to be 700 bags for a custom color order but that may have changed.  Your best bet will probably be to search eBay and other internet suppliers to see if you can find them.

hopefully you're right and they just make cut savings on reducing the SKU numbers. as stated there are just to many colors, I'm sure that someone uses those colors but I don't think that there is too many people. I'm most concern about the manufacturing process and the sourcing of components, Senkos are the most simple bait design there is and other companies have not been able to replicate them.

i don't mind the logo. they could have at least tried to incorporate some of the older look into it, but as long as the bait's don't change it's fine with me!

I agree with that, I don't see that logo and think "Senko".  Because of the packaging, I associate GYCB as "green" so the blue "BAITS" throws me as well.

"GYCB" sounds like a 90's NYC rap group, so it's always going to be a better name ;)

As long as they don't get rid of Green Pumpkin Magic, the other color I use isn't a worry for me.  haha

Oh sorry I misunderstood (I wanted them brought back so was listing some hoping you could get the word out) but baits like the kut tail 6.5 have no colors in stock are they discontinued?
