Super User ATA Posted January 4, 2022 Super User Posted January 4, 2022 Guys I was just checking my tackles and fixing them and rearranging them and I came across two freedom chaterbait, For who doesn't know what is that, Thats a product that chatter bait and freedom tackle made together. It is basically a swinging head chatterbait. Is there anyone use them and in what condition is best to use it and how to use it and what will be best trailers for them? Quote
Super User gim Posted January 4, 2022 Super User Posted January 4, 2022 I believe that the hook is different on them as compared to a straight shank hook on other chattberbaits which allows you to rig the plastic trailer texas-rigged. I think the swivel head is also designed to use around cover and help with avoiding hang ups. I haven't personally used one but someone that was fishing with me last season did for a while and he really had great difficulty hooking up. He lost several large fish on it. I'm sure someone has used them with success so hopefully they'll chime in. 1 Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I bought a similar one by Zman. It’s a free swinging with a football head. So I plan on reeling this along rocks and other bottom types. I would think you could use this in similar way. 2 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted January 4, 2022 Super User Posted January 4, 2022 I have a modest selection of these baits. (a few more than what's shown below) My success with them comes in pretty much the same deals as where & when the Jackhammer bait gets bites. The New Freedom bait runs a little different and I chose it over the Jackhammer for more of a constant retrieve. Meaning, little to no Stop & Go, which is something I do with the Jackhammer quite a bit. I've had to modify the New Freedom hook set up though. Here some more info . . . A-Jay 2 Quote
