Interesting. Wonder if it'll be another budget friendly model like the Quantum GForce? Interestingly enough, I have bought 2 of their rods in the last 5 years or so and actually liked the cheapest one better. Don't see myself doing that again, no matter who has their name on it. Quote

Probably, and that would make sense. I caught one of his vids where he was using Omen Blacks 3s and the Z-Slide reels and hinted that's what he'll be using on the Elite tour, but in another vid he went on to mention a Gman signature line in the works for iCast '22 and showed some prototypes without graphics. 16 minutes ago, rtwvumtneer6 said: Interestingly enough, I have bought 2 of their rods in the last 5 years or so and actually liked the cheapest one better I've had several Omen Black 2s in heavy rotation over the past 4 years. Not a single issue at all after rather unkind treatment, and I'm quite happy fishing with them. Lots of solid fish caught in tough conditions. Had they retained the full cork handle I would've considering adding a Gen 3, but they went to split grip and, horror of horrors, they put the hook keeper in the worst place imaginable: On the handle. Oh well. Quote

InfantryMP Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 I believe his move to be just a large scale business endeavor. Yea it has some to do with the tournaments for sure, but imagine getting in with some of the most popular youtube people, and working directly with them. Lets say go from 40K subscribers to 240K in a week....That will be lasting revenue from Google Ad sense etc with Youtube. So, the odds of winning an Elite Series Event are decently low. The odds of making consistent money on Youtube by partnering with 13, Googan, etc are even greater. I think he is looking for financial stability for life. If you have read about pro anglers enough, you know unless you are a top 10 or so kind of person it is very expensive to fish in the pros. Chris will not have to worry about all that with revenue from Youtube and being a Googan guy now. 1 Quote

I wouldn't buy Googan before him going there, and I still won't buy them after. The guys that were already with Googan are better fisherman than Zaldain anyways. I mean Wheeler is on the Googan team and he has won more than Zaldain will ever dream of. Same. When everyone except Zaldain left BASS for MLF, Zaldain was all that BASS had left so they propped him up like he the second coming. Quote

Yeah I guess that makes sense, I just think he is arrogant, but definitely could be wrong! 1 Quote
