Biggest bass (smallmouth), KVD Dream Shot.

Biggest fish (pike), Chatterbait

PB largemouth @ 7lb on a Rage Craw, don't recall the color. Took 20 years to hit 7 lbs.

Can't figure out taking a picture one handed with my phone while sitting in the canoe, all I get is about 3/4 of the fish.

7 lbs 15 oz - July 30th - 1/2oz flipping rig w/ZCraw Jr

(I weighed it a couple extra times just in case it hit 8-0, not meant to be ?)

I didn't catch any noteworthy smallmouth or spotted bass this year :(.  Biggest SM was like 3lbs and I might not have even cracked 2.5 lbs for spotted bass.  Had a different schedule this year so more just a factor of where I fished the most.

Do you have a smart phone? Most of them have a timer on the camera. Set it to 10 seconds and lean it up against something, here’s a catfish canoe selfie

Biggest river smallie, 20” on a Big Bite green pumpkin purple 3.5” Smallie Smasher on a Ned Head and Lake Smallie was a 21” on a 1/4 oz War Eagle smoke red spinnerbait. Caught pike bigger than these, but relative to big pike I have caught, they were rather pedestrian.

I know about the timer and will start doing that with the new boat. Couldn't get far enough away in the kayak.

These quick picks don't do a fish justice.20200917_093207.thumb.jpg.4c666fbf56bdf1e93c7ba0108837dc8a.jpg

Since I had the tablet mounted on the middle seat of my old canoe, I could set the self timer on that and get a shot.

This is the full-size of my avatar pic - taken in the canoe with the tablet...this one is my 2020 'best of the year'.

Best LM and SM both came on a T rigged Sweet Craw. 6# LM  SM was a couple crawdads shy of 4#. It also produced a 5lb 4oz LM and several 4+.

239854317_thumbnail(30).thumb.jpeg.83f9cf37472350b5a9b613c8832ab80c.jpeg

Caught my biggest channel cat of the year on it too. 11#+

1549216602_thumbnail(29).thumb.jpeg.b258a3e0c474672c639a371d405fb0c2.jpeg

And biggest flathead. 13# + Had a couple WAY bigger than this one kick my butt and wrap me up in the timber.

966187419_thumbnail(22).thumb.jpeg.a516d7f5cd041dfa5f93d23488ffb8dc.jpeg

And musky. 46" Also had a saugeye 30"+ come off at boat side on it. That was a heartbreaker. That bait flat out gets bit. It's the 3.5" version. Good for both numbers and size. Best year ever, and the Sweet Craw put a big percentage of my fish in the boat.

Yeah. IMO the spinnerbait has never gone out of style. I feel like it's just a forced/false talking point for various fishing industry mediums to fill time & content with.

2021 PB Smallie - Dragging a 3" tube on a goby tube jighead in Late Oct.

2021 PB Largie - Sight fishing a stubborn largie in September. That fish finally slipped up on a neko rigged Gajo ned stick.

I’ve mounted cheap phone holders on each of my yaks. Walmart sells one that fits into an auto’s CD slot.  It is ideal.  The large base allows you to clamp it or permanently screw it.

biggest of the year for me was a 4.8 lb largie flipping a 1/2oz texas rigged “magic craw swirl” sweet beaver in the grass during an ABA tournament on candlewood lake
