large white zoom super fluke on a keel weighted 4/0 hook for the  5 lb smallmouth.

Large white superfluke which i colored it some with black magic marker and smudged it in to look more like a minn shiner for the  5lb largemouth on keel weight 4/0 hook.

Both caught in the exact same location standing on the side of a culvert.278647050_bigbrown036.thumb.jpg.0956303f070ea77441437b49d80163fb.jpg1890011935_bigbrown042.thumb.jpg.35a027940b124780ba2fcdb0fa409587.jpg1523094033_lizziesmallmouth022.thumb.jpg.fd1907c80fc13750ede19cf731ab7114.jpg17408608_lizziesmallmouth023.jpg.00a8a692e747a67cee16c0d7535d5166.jpg

I actually bought that little kit they sale those in one time about 5-7 years ago and they absolutely get destroyed by bass in my local lake! Hidden Walmart gem.

I’ll also add that if your small creek or “wade” fishing, those will work all day long as well as the tried and true rooster tails.

Ajay lit a fire under me a year or 2 ago with his post on the Spro Rat. The rat has become my spirit animal and I fish it passionately and I become the rat!! Every little twitch, turn and thrust to get back to bank or boat I work as realistic as I can. Besides all that Bull I caught this as my biggest in 2021. I call her the belly deep bass…

Lucky Craft 1.5. Caught a 6 1/4 lb. in late summer when they were busting shad in the flats. Love this color, was a hot lure for a couple months.

Nope.  I thought I was bringing in a log until it got close to the bank.  Water was about 45 degrees.

I Don’t fish Senko’s often but that’s what the bite was. Weightless 5” #301 wacky rig w/Owner size 1 Weedless Wacky Jungle hook about 8’ deep.

BPS Tube Black and Blue flake 3.75"

Measured 22" and according to Texas Parks and Wildlife it equates to 6.40lbs. Not bad for a 1/2 acre cow pond.

Whopper Plopper 110, bone color. 7.93 lbs. I also caught a 5.75 that day in the same spot. I caught the bigger one and came back after a couple hours and caught the other. My runner up was a 7.25 on a Johnson Silver Minnow/chunk trailer dragged over lilies.

LM - 3/4oz DJ Cali swim jig, crappie w/ 120mm Dwalker, silverside

SM - 1/2oz keitech finesse football jig, gp/blue w/ trd crawz, gp

Don't have weights or measurements, but LM is a low 6lb and SM is a high 4lb by my best guesses.

Gambler 13" ribbon tail worm, black. Moves like a snake in the water, kind of smells like one, too.

Honorable mentions goes to a 6.92 on a homemade bladed jig that won me big bass and pretty much the championship tournament and paid for my kids Christmas presents ?
