Anything other than braid may develop memory so I’d spray them with KVD Line conditioner.

You are better off waiting until a week before you need to go fishing.

3-4 months might be a bit early.  I usually re-spool mine in March or April which is about a month or less ahead of time.

When the ice starts breaking up, I spool my light rigs as I use them for panfishing.

Since bass/walleye/pike season doesn't open here until mid-May, I don't spool the rest up until the first week of May.

Yeah I agree..I never do them that far in advance because of memory.

Me to, only it's not the memory in the line I'm worried about.
