Super User ATA Posted December 27, 2021 Super User Posted December 27, 2021 Congratulation,I in other hand, had bad luck, I went fishing for 36 hours and I fished 21 hours of it and I didn't catch a single fish. First 10.5hr I was under heavy rain and wind(better to say typhoon), And after that still nothing, Cold dark water and no bite, To be honest I had two bites and not hooked . But hey I am going out Monday again to try. 4 Quote

Super User scaleface Posted December 27, 2021 Super User Posted December 27, 2021 This will be hard and it will change often .I'll answer top for 2021 and I wont be able to come up with 5 Cranks : Red Eye Shad , Rapala Crankin Rap 5.5 , Rapala Crankin Rap 14.5, Timber Tiger, Dredger 8.5 Top Water : Homemade Buzzbait , Zman Popshadz , Stanley Ribbet Worms : Senko , Dinger , Jelly worm Creature baits : none Spinnerbait : Homemade spinnerbait , Booyah Covert and top lures that didnt fit any categories :Jerk Bait unknown brand , Fats Gizit , locally made chatterbait Quote
Super User king fisher Posted December 27, 2021 Super User Posted December 27, 2021 This is five from each category for my local lakes in central Mexico. I forgot to picture an A rig, but it is quickly becoming a favorite. Chatter bait is getting used more, but still not living up to my expectations, so it didn't make the list. It was hard to narrow down the crankbait and top water to only five each. Will add Devils horse for a close number 6, and all H2O cranks if I'm fishing around lure eating gill nets. I don't use soft plastics much, but these all work well when I do. I buy the spinner bait and jig bodies, adding my own skirts and blades. 1 Quote

PotatoLake Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Hmmm. I’ll just tell you what caught my 5 biggest bass this year. 1 - Late August, Fish chasing shad in the flats - LC 1.5 Silent Squarebill (CF Flake Flake Chartreuse Shad) 2. - May, during the spawn - Jackal Ganterel Jr. - (Scale Gill) 3. - First week of January Dragging Main Lake Points - Missle Baits Head Banger Football Jig - (Bruised) - ZMan Batwings (Black Blue) 4 - May, during the spawn - Netbait T-Mac (Bama Bug) - on a rig that has a swivel with flouro leader, bent size 2 finesse hook. I don’t know the name of this rig, bit it makes your trick worm do a crazy spinning dance under the surface. Bass hate that thing. 5 - Heat of July, pitching in Lilly pads - Gambler Burner Worm - (Junebug) Award for hottest lure for one day. Evergreen Showerblows - 105 - ( Half Mirror Wakasagi) Schoolers could not leave this alone. Most fun topwater action I’ve had! Quote

I’ve been meaning to get some and try assembling my own spinnerbaits Quote
VolFan Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Classic rapala, rooster tail, power worm ribbon tail in black or purple or a combo, bitsy bug w/a Rage trailer, and a white (or white chartreuse) spinner bait. I will catch a fish with those, any day the water isn’t frozen. Quote
