I'm a weirdo who actually likes muddy 50 degree water. As others have said, shallow and TIGHT to cover. Creek mouths in the back of pockets and bays have been very good to me in those conditions, as has shoreline cover in the main lake basin. Black and blue jig or black beaver T rigged. Good time to catch a big'n.

Rising water bass tend to move up to hunt new cover.

Dirty water with lots of silt isn’t good until the silt settles down.

Fish the lakes like it’s night using black with contrast. Berkley back 10” Power worm with chartreuse or blue tails T-rigged with sliding bullet sinker. Cast on the shore and work in back.

I used to fish a lot of lagoons like that and my current lake is stained year round. I prefer chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. Sometimes they bite on all white, sometimes it’s the blue/black combo.

But guys around here prefer to drag a salamander soft plastic along the bottom.

My all time favorite bait for heavily muddy water ,  like one inch of visibility,   is a black jig with an orange Uncle Josh pork frog . Yep , they made a bright orange frog and its the only situation  where  I used them  .
