Super User Alpster Posted March 8, 2022 Super User Posted March 8, 2022 I use color preserver to seal and force the air out of thread wraps (leading cause of bubbles) spread finish on tinfoil and breath on the finish before application. Use a sable brush to apply as it introduces fewer bubbles than synthetic brushes. If I feel the need for any heat, I have a couple of clamp on lights with the warming bulbs (to keep reptiles warm) from the pet store. Let the rod turn under the lights for 20 or 30 minutes at around 85-90 degrees. Quote
