Geez, I just realized I just turned 42. When I was 32, it seemed like 42 was so far away, yet here we are. I will say though, my eye sight is headed in the wrong direction. LOL

I have a great wife, great kids, great job and thoroughly enjoy life. Hopefully I have a few more years in me. :)

Happy birthday!

Not too far off from my boys birthdays, they just turned 8 and 5 this past week. Their birthdays make me feel older than my own birthdays do.

I think you’ll be around for quite a bit longer. I wish I was 42 again. Happy birthday.

Got you beat by 6 days! Most days I still feel 20 or so, but as a lifelong stonemason, there’s a few mornings where I feel a touch older than 42, especially after I play hockey ?

Expecting your wife to kill you?

42 is still a puppy - my younger daughter was born when I was 42.

Happy birthday, same age as my wife. I still have a few years to get there but some days I feel like I’m older than that!

Happy Birthday to both of ya!

Got @jbsoonerfan you by 10 years, and yes, 40 is the medical

milestone they say it is. For most men, that is. The weight doesn't

come off as easy as it did, and the eyesight starts waning. Reading

glasses are a must for me today, unfortunately. Welcome to the

infamous club, :D.

Knew you were an old-fart - not that I'm that far behind you.

Welcome to the over-40 club...walkers are to your left, diapers to your right. ;)

Having those things always makes life better.

And the gap between 42 and 52 will seem even smaller. Stay active and do what you love. It keeps you young. Happy Birthday!

In all seriousness, I would schedule and eye exam if you haven't already.  I hadn't been in for an eye exam in years but recently found out it was 100% completely covered by my health insurance once a year so I went in there in August.  I had corrective laser surgery in 2006 so my eyes are still 20-20.  The exam revealed that my eyes are still healthy and working properly, but I'm still glad I went in to confirm.  It literally takes less than an hour to do.

Yep! I got you by 5 years Darren and you are spot on. I would like to add that you lose hair where you need it and grow hair where you don't need it. ?

Getting older is not something most look forward to. But it beats the hell out of the alternative!

Sound advice.

You're lucky. I wound up with a retina problem which caused permanent damage.

Happy birthday, sounds like your living the dream actually.

Oh, hope your eyes take a better path than mine. My mom at 93 never needed glasses and I needed readers in my 50's.

At 61 I have different glasses for various purposes......shooting & hunting glasses, driving glasses, readers, prescription sunglasses, special glasses to find my glasses, it's that bad.

Strange enough, perfect health other than the eyes.

Happy birthday man..I'm 38 so not to far behind you. My mom, dad and sister all have glasses so I'm sure that's in my future. I usually feel younger than 38 but when I get 50-60 hours into a shutdown week I sometimes feel 75! I don't have kids but uve got a great woman, great parents, a solid job and a wonderful hobby so I to am blessed. Keep fighting the good fight.
