Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 19, 2021 Super User Posted December 19, 2021 Remarkable to have two over 15lbs in the same year in the same state from public waters. 1 Quote
HaydenS Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Toad! Sixth sense oughta sponsor him, if they haven’t already... Just about every Divine swim jig sold out after he caught this guy on it. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted December 19, 2021 Super User Posted December 19, 2021 This is from his FB page With all of that, I’m going to leave you all with my last 12 months Bass stats, minus 4 or so months I took off for deer and crappie tournaments. I can’t thank you all enough and the year 2022 is going to be my best one yet, God Willing. 2022 I’m taking no time off, carrying the cameras with me everywhere I go, and have some road trips planned on the west coast to target the World Record Largemouth, but I’m not going to kid myself, I’ll be happy with all the DD’s I can get my hands on . ******The last 12 months….****** My largest 5 bass totaled 68.78 pounds. 15.40 15.10 13.20 12.88 12.20 I boated somewhere over 150 bass, over 8 pounds. 27 Double digit bass 3 smallmouth over 6 pounds 3 meanmouth over 7 pounds. 6 Quote

Super User WRB Posted December 20, 2021 Super User Posted December 20, 2021 I haven’t caught what my bench mark 15 lb is for giant bass since 2010. Long long dry spell for me. If I add up the 5 PB’s caught between 1981 to 1994 = 90.3 lbs, best 5 bass limit was 62.2 lbs caught the same day. It’s history that took me a lifetime to achieve. Maybe JJ will break the Texas State Record Bass, something I never could do is break the California State Record Bass. Tom 1 Quote

ryanerb Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Congrats to Josh. Unfortunately I'm out of the loop and haven't been following him religiously. Do we know / think he is totally relying on the forward facing to catch all these beasts? As for the rest of us, rest easy in running your own race. Don't always worry about the other guys like Josh. He's in a position where he's dedicated his life to fishing, and many of us others have non-fishing day jobs, wives, kids, etc. It's still fun to see what he's able to accomplish to let us know 'it can be done' haha 1 Quote

ironbjorn Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 There's a map called Cartel on Call of Duty Cold War that I always dominate on. It's full of bushes and visibility is close to zero. I'm one of very few people who have a gun dedicated for the map when it pops up. I use a flashlight attachment on the gun. In CoD a flashlight attachment puts a red dot above the enemy to help reveal them at a distance. Most people don't use this because it does have its cons (sprint to fire time takes a big hit), but on Cartel, it's more than worth it. While everyone else is running around blind I see people through the bushes because I see the red dot. The flashlight essentially hands me the game. I don't do anything special. I can just see where others can't. A lot of the time some of the players I dominated on this map turn around a slap me silly on the very next map where all things are equal because their gun skill is better. Quote

Does throw A-rigs (winter) and deep cranks (summer), but also really likes big flutter spoons and swim jigs, esp. swim jigs right now. This is for the giant bass. He says he has tried about everything, but those 4 seem to get the most use in rotation at present. Can use several other baits if you are just chasing "normal" smaller fish. 1 Quote
