whitearrow Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 ok fellas i'm in the market for a do all fishing jon boat from 1 acre lake to 300 acre lake. between the sea ark 1648 mv special vs alweld 1648 vv marsh for build quality, stability, longevity? the sea ark is a bout 130lb lighter which would help in launching it into a small pond that i can't back down to. thanks, Big Ed 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted December 17, 2021 Global Moderator Posted December 17, 2021 If you are hand launching I would definitely opt for the lighter one 2 Quote
volzfan59 Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 I don't think that you could go wrong with either one. They're both great boats. My future son in law works for Sea Ark. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted December 21, 2021 Super User Posted December 21, 2021 SeaArk makes a beast of a hull. Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 21, 2021 Super User Posted December 21, 2021 Alweld has an excellent reputation for stability, strength, & handling. I fish out of a Alweld 1652VJT, the VJT is a VV Marsh series with a tunnel hull. The SeaArk is lighter because it doesn't have welded in full flooring & sides covering all the ribs. You would have to look at the Alweld SS package. Quote
