Does anybody besides me just love throwing them?

My go to is a swimbait, every where every time.

What is your favorite ribbed swimbait?

What is are favorite hard, hollow body, line thru, and texas rig or jig head rigged swimbaits?

I fish with swimbaits often. They are great lures for bass and many other species of fish.

I mainly throw 6 to 8" swimbaits, wake and glide baits. Caught many a bass in that size range.

I like big swimmers, especially 6-8 inch glides and wakes. Never had much luck on big soft baits.

 

I like throwing Keitech and other boot tail type swimbaits also.

Bass pike and stripers. 
 

I also fish swimbaits like you mentioned. But I really love those big baits. I’ve caught 2lb fish on 10 inch swimbaits!

I mainly throw 4 inch versions in creeks or small rivers. In lakes I like to throw 5 inch baits.

 

As far as hard-body swimbaits my go to has to be the Mike Bucca Shad. It is a very slow sinker and the hooks are ridiculously sharp.

Kinda O.T. but did any of you guys catch the Tacticalbassin vid, where Matt is tossing a ..get this, a 4 lb trout swimbait..Crazy stuff.

*Hard -6" Bull Shad SS, Wake Bull , 7" & 9" Bull Shad SS ,168/200 S - Wavers, 8" Triple Trout, various Rats, & Bull Herring

*Don't throw hollow or line thru

 *The Magdrafts and Hudds get throw occasionally 

 * Really have no favorite just pick the best swimbait for that moment.

Is the bull Shad worth the price? I really wanna pull the trigger on a 6inch SS bull Shad but have never paid over 25 for a lure and am hesitant.

The 6" BS is a great bait that's produced alot of fish for me. Is it worth it? I think so.

I love them too! I started throwing paddle/boot tail swimmers around '06, I layed waste to the local bass (and pike) polulation for years using primarily the 5" yum money minnows and various shad type bodies on jigheads including the lunker city shakers until I noticed my catch rates started really dropping off right around 2014-15 or so which is about when the keitechs started gaining popularity.

  My go to is the 4.8 and 5.8 keitechs and rage swimmers on owner flashy swimmer or beast hooks, I'll throw 6.8's too in and around the spawn too, always rigged weedless, the northern natural lakes I fish are heavily vegetated most of the year. I used strike kings shadalicious, bass magics and a few other hollows for a few years way back but don't use them anymore and now prefer the solid bodies. As far as glides I use mainly small ones (5-6") as a 5 pounder is a giant in these parts, I like the s-waver 120, it accounted for my biggest this year, I also dig the baby bullshad and baby bullgills too for skipping pontoons and docks, they catch numbers and size. While not technically a swimbait I also like big wakes like the black dog baits shellcracker, but this last year I got my hands on a few sweet custom made bluegill wakebaits which seem destined to replace them based on how well they did in the short time I've had them. In recent years I have returned to including more traditional lures and presentations due to pressure and popularity of swimbaits but they'll always be my passion and confidence lures.

I’m in NE Ohio so 5 pounders are a rarity around me as well, but in the area I fish 3 pounders are plentiful and I feel a 3-4 pounder can take the smaller end “big swimbaits” without issue. I’ve always thrown paddle tails but now looking into the 6 inch bull Shad, magdraft, jackall gantarel Jr., etc.

No doubt that big baits catch small fish too. Being in an urban area on the outskirts of Chicago the pressure is real and big baits makes for bites that are few and far between. I've found the "sweet spot" in regards to catching numbers and size for my neck of the woods are baits in the 5-6" range and I'm really happy there for a few reasons, one being it's allowed me to downsize my gear which is nice since I mostly fish from bank or canoe, I do not miss them longer rods.

Trim the Bull Shad down to the 5" version and you'll be able to throw all the other baits you've mentioned on a heavy jig rod. Add to your list white and bluegill colored Black Dog Shellcracker G2 crank down wake baits and you'll be covered nicely.
