In the YouTube world I get annoyed at anglers that set the hook on a fish and immediately start saying “Biggun” on every fish or claim they got a 10 pounder over and over while reeling in a Bass that weighs 3 to 4:pounds at most.

In the real world, my anger is directed at litterbugs and unleashed dog walkers.

My local spots are trashed by fishermen, empty tubs of worms, chicken livers, discarded line and such. Just disgraceful.

The signs on the trails by my local stretch of river say keep your dog on a leash. I have yet to see someone obey that law. I have had dogs jump on me, nose around in my bait and tackle bags, growl and bark at me. I carry some tear gas spray I pray I never have to use as I generally love dogs but I am not getting bit.

The YouTube One about the bigguns, totally agree. Funny! Your other point about trash, that's a popular one on this thread! Just don't get it.  people have no respect for nature and their surroundings. At least some of them don't.

It’s really upsetting when it’s fishing related trash. You would hope folks that fish would care what ends up in the water.

Nobody would ever describe me as having a “ sunny disposition “.   Im trying to change for the better. .  I can’t let fishing have any pet peeves.  So I’m happy to report.  I have none with respect to fishing. :)

none of the OP’s would register on my radar.

My definition of 'perfect cast' may differ from yours

Nothing on utube bothers me, really....except maybe ads....then again, there's very very little content I have found that is worth my time....so I don't watch much

Love that. And you are right. There is a lot out there that can ruin your day/life. Need to stay positive. Fishing is a big positive. And by the way one of my pet peeves is that you have no pet peeves! ?

Fishing with people that start getting antsy if we aren’t getting bit immediately. I took a buddy out a while back and an hour in with 1 fish caught he started complaining that we weren’t catching anything. I tried to tell him we are working out a pattern and hopefully once we figure it out we will start slaying. His attitude stayed pessimistic the rest of the trip so I cut it short, dropped him at his truck and went back fishing solo. No negativity is allowed on my boat. PMA ONLY! He’s a good guy but he doesn’t have it in his blood. Maybe bottom fishing a wreck for snapper would be more his speed.

I’m also one who is not Mr. Sunshine the majority of the time. Been working on that for a life time. Some work issues can make you miserable as cat crap but I can’t and won’t let that carry over into my fishing.

My biggest peeve is with myself not throwing a bunch more different looks while out. This coming season I’m going to have things laid  out a bit different. Not beat certain lures, patterns and colors to death. It’s not like I don’t have the stuff to do it. Gonna throw more and more different.

Ehh. I enjoy having company with me as long as we are on the same page. I fish with my BIL often and we get along great.  We both have been bass fishing since we were kids so he gets how it can be.

I always carry a 13 gal (kitchen trash can size) trash bag with me, and before I leave an area I pick up as much trash as I can fit into it and take it out with me. Only takes a couple of minutes, costs me next to nothing, and makes me feel good about doing "my part". If all "concerned" anglers did that, the trash problem could be pretty much eliminated. I would, of course, prefer not to have to do this. People SHOULD know enough to pick up after themselves, but it seems many do not.

If you have one or two close fishing friends that is worth its weight in gold. I have anglers that i'm friendly with but not necessarily friends with. I would love to have someone that you can just hook up with and go !

Last year was so bad in my bay that I should have just given boat rides.

This year boat rides. Then a few minutes of perch fishing. Not enough bites?  Ride home

I love Mark Zona but that guy calls a lot of 4 lb smallies, 5 lbers.

This is spot-on.  Having just 1 friend that you can share spots and information with is priceless.  I'm pretty secretive and I don't post anything on social media and it would be great to share my results with someone who understood what I was doing.  I've been telling my wife this for years and it is the main reason I stay in my club with the hope of finding 1 good fishing buddy.  Surprisingly, I have a new colleague that is an excellent tournament fisherman and it has been a lot of fun trading information and talking about local fishing spots.  I could see us fishing together in the future which is something I usually don't do unless I get paired with someone in a tournament.

Headlights burning on a truck backing down and or sitting at the boat ramp just fires me up when I'm trying to back down before daylight. Who needs headlights while backing their boat down? So I'll gently ask them if we get close enough if they could see ok while backing down with those bright @$$ headlights?

They may not be able to turn them off. My 2001 Silverado LS has auto-headlights...a sensor determines the ambient light level and turns the headlights on if it's below a certain point...and there's no off switch.

Interesting, my 2010 Sierra switch rests in auto mode, but you can rock it to the left to turn off, and then I turn on the driving/fog lights.  Rotate the switch to the right to turn them back on.

OK, my pet peeve(s), beyond people trashing the out of doors like the whole world is their garbage can, is people that are in so much of a hurry that they "wake" me in passing by me (or anyone else who is fishing).

I always slow down well in advance, and get back on the throttle long after passing by, so as not to disturb the water for a fellow fisherman or rock their boat.

Just seems like common courtesy towards a fellow angler.

Must of added that later...'Off' on my light switch puts it in auto mode...I could turn one click to running lights probably...might turn the heads off. My fog lights are a separate switch on the other side of the steering wheel...over by the radio/CD

This scenario caught me my PB largemouth. Picked it out, reeled up the slack, and my 6-10 was swimming for deep water with my jig.

Push the dome override button 4 times. That turns the headlights off
