Super User Koz Posted December 14, 2021 Super User Posted December 14, 2021 I have a camo kayak - no one would ever see the sticker ? I've honestly never even thought of putting stickers on my kayak. I think the only sticker I have is a free one that TW sent me when I bought $500 on their website one day. Quote

I have a large Metallica sticker on mine, but this sounds like a better one (maybe not cooler) 1 Quote

I only ever get that tiny bass sticker. what does a $500 thank you sticker from TW look like? my local shop offered me a big awesome sticker for my kayak. I declined. They don’t pay me. I’m for sale for sure. But to date, they still take my money. No sticker advertising for them. Quote
BayouSlide Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 When I was roadracing motorcycles, I was nearly always a backmarker (way back in the pack), but for companies that offered me a product discount or the one that tossed a little money my way, they'd get a sticker on the bike. So if Bass Pro or Tackle Warehouse are listening, you can get a spot on my boat for a yearlong 10 percent discount...as before, I'm not that good but I'm very cheap to acquire ? 3 Quote

(In my best Ron Popeil or Billy Mays voice) "But wait - there's more! They also sent me a TW t-shirt!" Meh - I'm just having a little fun here. I appreciate the freebies from TW, but I would have spent that money with or without the free stuff. I'm really happy with those purchases, especially the Curado. Quote

Hey Koz, how's that kayak treating you? Can't find your thread or I would have asked there. Quote

I love my Seastream Angler 120 PD kayak. I know that the Old Town's and Hobies are considered to be the cream of the crop when it comes to pedal drive kayaks, and maybe someday I'll splurge and buy one of those. But when it comes to bang for the buck, I think I hit a home run, especially because it was only $1,399 when I bought mine. Being an older guy and fishing on a lake with a lot of pontoon boat recreation boaters, stability is important to me. Not once have I felt unsafe out there with wakes or even heavy, heavy chop on windy days. The only drawback is that it's heavy. The kayak is 99 pounds, the pedal drive is another 22 pounds, and my fishing gear, paddle, Lowrance, and whatever else I bring probably adds another 20-30 pounds. So when I have to haul it up the hill back to my hotel it can be tiresome. I'm actually thinking of buying a house on the lake next spring so I won't have to haul it up and down that hill. I also wish it had some dry storage. It navigates well, and I can really move when I have to. I usually cover 5-10 miles easy. I'm sure there are better pedal kayaks out there, but I have zero regrets with my purchase. Here's my original thread: 3 Quote
Super User Bird Posted December 15, 2021 Super User Posted December 15, 2021 If I'd paste a " no skunk " on my boat I'd be a prolific liar but water temps are in the 40's.......excuses excuses. 1 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted March 18, 2022 Super User Posted March 18, 2022 I have stickers all over my old one but nothing yet on the new one. Eventually I will put a few related to the areas I fish rather than be floating billboard for all the equipment companies I buy fishing stuff from. Quote
Super User Koz Posted March 18, 2022 Super User Posted March 18, 2022 I'm going to update my initial response. I now have a TW and Yak Attack decals on my kayak. Quote
schplurg Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 I'd put a BassResource sticker on my crate lid. I think I will. And if I had to put one sticker on my yak for free, now that I think about it again, BR would sure be a top contender. They don't charge me for anything, and I have learned more about fishing than all other sources combined, plus I chat with cool people. It's like a good bar with a fishing library. I'm gonna buy a sticker or two and maybe something else now. Edit: having trouble getting any fishing apparel in my cart. Says "N/A" next to every item I try. We'll see. Got decals in there okay. 1 Quote
Super User Boomstick Posted March 20, 2022 Super User Posted March 20, 2022 I haven't yet, but I've thought about it. Quote
