@PotatoLake Thank you for the Fishmas Package! You are quite generous! You certainly did your research and quite well I would say! I have no idea how you knew I have been wanting to try the bellows gills for years but always forget to order them. I see tons of hellgrammites floating down one of my favorite rivers so those HD baits will catch me quite a lot of smallmouth! And If my suspicion holds true, I think you may have introduced me to a new favorite bait: that Mono jig and easy shaker. That thing will be awesome on a baby plugging and it still blows my mind how you knew I love JDM! Thank you again and Happy Holidays!

You bet! Enjoy! You’ll have to let me know what you think of those Bellows Gills. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to use them.

Nice chatting with you on the phone today. I hope you catch some nice bass with one of those baits. Or all of them!

Same here Brian. And I’m going with all of ‘em! With water temperatures here now in the mid 40’s, I’ll have that Scout tie on next time out, which is looking like very early 2022

Also I will be hand delivering my package either tomorrow or later this week. Sorry it's late I just got home from school and have been caught up with work.

@ironbjorn Many thanks my friend! Jackhammers, Senkos, and jerkbaits…can’t go wrong there!  I actually just bought a new jerkbait rod and am really going to focus on the technique in 2022. The Bull Shads really put this over the top. I’ve been wanting to try these for a while now!

Let me begin by thanking @deaknh03 for setting this up. I wish I had a good story as to why I didn't participate in Fishmas this year like I have in years past. Frankly, I forgot. Busy at work and dealing with life and it slipped my mind.

I'm not sure of the logistics but I received gifts for my grandson from 2 different BR members. I thought the gifts were from deak. He bought my son a Spiderman fishing pole last Fishmas. deak texted me asking what my grandson was into and for my mailing address. I figured he was buying a gift this year as well.

Going to have to do this in a couple posts because of the pic file size. Thanks @heavyduty for the dinosaurs and the books. He'll love them. The kid eats sleeps and breathes dinosaurs. I figured books about something he is passionate about would help him learn to read. Thanks again.

Second gift was from @Siebert Outdoors

With Mikes help and permission from @Glenn, I have something special planned for BR members.

That's a mighty fine assortment. Those Bellows Gills are nice. Pretty durable and smelly. I had a few amazing days with the 3.8 Bellows Gill this past fall. Just t-rigged plus a 1/32 oz non-pegged bullet in grass. On days with super mild breezes in pretty clear water, they wanted it pumped hard through the grass. It was fun cuz I've never experienced such a consistent reaction bite in calm clear waters. I could fish it fast with single to triple pumps/strokes and small pauses on the fall. I've never felt largemouth strikes that vicious on a soft plastic. They'd smash it immediately after a rip and were instantly hooked every time. Felt similar to a bama shaking or stroking swim jig bite.

I wish I could elaborate more on the Fishmas gift, but I have COVID and just opening the box and getting the contents out pretty much kicked my butt. Needless to say, just the number and selection of baits is fantastic. But a baitcasting reel? I am humbled!
