EBFishing Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Hello, I'm going to be getting into umbrella rig fishing and I'm not sure what some good rigs are, I thought I'd go on here and ask you guys. What are some good Alabama rigs that aren't super expensive, also what are some good swimbaits to put on a alabama rig? Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted December 7, 2021 Super User Posted December 7, 2021 I can’t advise you on the Arig itself as I make my own. On the bait my best days have come using white pearl flukes. 1 1 Quote

Super User WRB Posted December 7, 2021 Super User Posted December 7, 2021 Can’t go wrong with Dirty jigs and Hog Farmer Flex A-Rig, not cheap but works good. Hard to beat Keitech Fat Impact swimmers. Trash Fish work great but pricey. Picasso is another good brand. California we can only have 3 jigs hooks. what rod / reel do you plan to use? Tom 1 1 Quote

Super User WRB Posted December 7, 2021 Super User Posted December 7, 2021 The most important elements with A-Rig is movements by the wires to allow swimmer action change of pace. Bass 99% of the time strike from underneath or sideways and get hook by the jigs. If the bass also strike the teasers it doesn’t matter as long as they get hooked. Never had a fake swimmer get ripped off without the bass being hooked. Tom 2 1 Quote

Super User Hammer 4 Posted December 8, 2021 Super User Posted December 8, 2021 I'd go with this one. They also have a model with blades. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/HogFarmer_Baits_Tactical_Bassin_Flex_Rig/descpage-HFTF.html 1 1 Quote
