Super User Munkin Posted December 6, 2021 Super User Posted December 6, 2021 Apparently there are no size standards in blades. The willow is a size 4 and the other 2 are listed as size 6 or 6.5. Based on my other blades they should be like size 10. Allen 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 6, 2021 Global Moderator Posted December 6, 2021 I ordered some #5 Indiana blades last winter and what I got are tiny. Maybe at some point I'll make some finesse baits with them but they're way too small for the spinnerbaits I make. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted December 6, 2021 Super User Posted December 6, 2021 There is no standard. I learned that a long time ago when ordering blades from Stamina/LPO. When the place was called Stamina they carried Worth blades. After they became LPO they began carrying Lakeland brand blades. I remember being short 12 blades and so I order some #4 and #5 willows. When the blades arrived the #4s were about the same but the #5s were much larger than mine, a full 1/2 size. I called LPO and they explained that they went to Lakeland. They also told me to keep the #5s and they would send me some #4.5s which were the same as my Worth #5 willow blades. 1 Quote

Probably a little over an inch long. I poured a 1/4oz spinnerbait and put a little Colorado blade on the front and it made a nice looking little bait. Have to do something with them, they're copper blades so I paid well for them. Quote
heavyduty Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 I like throwing the Bett's spinners in #3 size. I wanted to try some with hammered gold colorado blades, they come with smooth. I figured the #3 size was referring to the blade size so I ordered some 3.5 hammered colorado blades from Barlows to get a little bit larger blade. They arrived yesterday and they are at least a half size smaller than the blade that came on it. So I don't know if the #3 Bett's is for blade size, if it actually has a #4 blade on it, or if Barlow's blade sizes are different as mentioned above about variance in manufacturer. I now, at least, have a starting point to order more from Barlow's, hopefully I guessed right on this order! Quote
