I met up with the USCG river patrol & offered to tow them to a nearby dock if they needed help. After I uncovered my face & head  the deckhand Put the safety back on & lowered the Assault gun. We then talked & they thanked me for offering to help them. Commander came out & said 15? years ago ? I would not be stopped for inspections.  Never have been. We have EXCELLENT Marine Police In Clayton / Alex Bay area.

Why were they on edge with the weapons?  Strange behavior!

It was after the terrorists bombed our USN ship in the far east waters.  PLUS  I am completely covered in clothes for U V protection........... He had every right to be on guard,  As I approached in a small boat alone.

Years ago my buddy Ziggy and I were fishing Tim Ford and came across this guy in a Hydra-sport. He asked us if we were doin' and good and we said, "Yes were killin em". He asked what we were fishin and we said Slider. He then pulled out a couple packs of jig heads and threw em in the boat and said, "Ya'll try out those". Well...those jig heads were for a new technique called "Pitchin".  He was pitchin with an 8' spinning rod that had a #40 gathering guide. That guy was Stan Sloan.

Many years ago while at BB Kings in Memphis a guy asked if it was ok if he could sit. I said sure. We talked for awhile before the show started. At that time Ella Fitzgerald came out and starting singing and keep looking and pointing right at me. Being a nobody I couldn’t figure out why. When she finished I got up to leave and told the guy it’s was good talking to him.
Then some of the people I was with came up to me and asked you know him and I said yea I think Used to worked with him. They then said you worked with Gary Busey. I looked backed and said I knew I knew him from somewhere. Now I know why Ella was looking up.

Many years ago, I was on a fishing trip in Ontario that wasn’t going well. We weren’t far from International Falls so we went to Rainy Lake. I knew the owner of Rainy Lake Houseboats so we stopped into say hello. The owner wasn’t around, So while we were there, we hired a guide to take us walleye fishing. I’m not much of a walleye angler but I got a good education that day. After we got done with the guided trip and paid our guide, we were standing near the docks as a boat came in. In the boat was none other than Al Lindner. As we were standing there, amazed at who we were seeing, someone in the boat says “ Hiya Scott!” My first thought was who in Al Lindner’s boat knows me? It was Billy Dougherty, owner of Rainy Lake Houseboats. He was guiding Al that day and were doing filming for an In-Fisherman show. Al and Billy got out and we had a nice conversation about the day’s fishing. Al graciously posed for pictures and was asking ME about walleye fishing! Because I’d just spent the day with a professional guide I was able to talk like I new something about walleyes. Al couldn’t have been nicer or more down to earth. The same guy he was on TV. The biggest surprise was that as much as he knows about walleye fishing, he would still ask others about their observations.

if you've never seen the thing he does when he talks about his coke addiction, you should look for it on youtube.  it's hilarious! i've never been into that stuff, but i knew some folks  who did. i was familiar with some of the ridiculous things drug users do,  but busey's stories are next level funny.   the part where he mentions his dog had me laughing so hard i couldn't breathe

I shook  Tom Mann's hand but that was at the weigh in . He was the emcee and handed my cousin and I a six thousand dollar first place check . The highlight of my bass fishing experience .
