Chris Catignani Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 I have found myself throwing a spinner bait more and more over the past few years. I wish I knew years ago that its hard to lose a spinner bait...I wouldn't have bought so many. 1 1 Quote

Super User Munkin Posted January 31, 2023 Author Super User Posted January 31, 2023 With all the talk about the mini chatterbaits figured I would make some. Regular 1/2oz chatterbait here for a size reference. Allen 8 Quote

Beautiful shad skirts on them and everything. I lost three of them on three consecutive casts spaced out over two days. I swore off fluorocarbon and spinnerbaits right there. Until I tried it again last summer because of a thread on Bass Resource. 1 Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted February 6, 2023 Super User Posted February 6, 2023 For you Spinnerbait hammers it makes perfect sense. I think one day I'd like to try to make my own bladed jigs. I'm never gonna recreate a Vision 110 lol. 1 Quote
MassBass Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Got tired of looking at this big dressed treble on my table so I put this thing together: 3 Quote
PaulVE64 Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I sometimes think of using my dogs hair as dubbing. Is that wrong? https://www.instagram.com/p/Co7maupLcDx/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= 1 Quote

Jeff Zurawski Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Some stuff I been working on this winter: Mini spinnerbaits built on 3/16oz frame lpo calls "finesse c-spin" with fine cut silicon skirts tied war eagle style. These look real good in the water and can be burned without rolling over. Can't wait to try them when the water warms up. Hybrid bucktail/silicon/fine rubber finesse jigs Hair jigs tied with locally procured coyote tail 3 Quote
detroit1 Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Good looking jigs Jeff. The spinnerbait picture is giving me a headache. LOL Quote
Jeff Zurawski Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Thanks bud. I haven't been tying hair for very long and feel like I'm just starting to get the hang of it. ? I know what you mean about the spinnerbaits pic. I don't know why it's appears all squished down and distorted like that. When I click on it, it opens in a new window and looks normal then. ? Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 18, 2023 Author Super User Posted March 18, 2023 So I found a bunch of GP 1/4oz chatterbait heads that I honestly don't remember buying. Figured I would throw on some smaller blades and skirts to see how it would turn out. I like it but wish the hooks were smaller. Allen 3 Quote
DanielG Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 I spent the past couple of days making a 'mohawk lure'. Ya, I know, cabin fever up here in Maine is getting bad. Anyway, it was an interesting diversion into something a bit different. Check it out. 3 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 20, 2023 Author Super User Posted March 20, 2023 Swim jig heads I am finishing up in 3/8 and 1/4oz. Going to add either a single wire or screwlock keepers. Allen 3 Quote
DanielG Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 So, I made this bait using some holographic foil from a craft store. Been wanting to try it for some time now. It had it's challenges as it's not actually foil but a plastic. It forms with the use of a heat gun though. And no, I don't sell anything with my videos. I just like the process of filming and putting the thing together after. 1 Quote

DanielG Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Trying my hand at a reptilian multi segmented lure. I've never done more than three segments before. This is seven. https://youtu.be/xyXkO6DWzmI 3 Quote
Mbirdsley Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Some stuff I’ve been working on. 1/4 and 3/8 oz arkies and poison tails. I’m going back to rubber collars. I tried the whole hand tied thing last year and didn’t really care for it. I use good rubber collars and have never had one rot out. 10 Quote
