Hard to find a mold that these hooks fit so I  made one.  These are 1/8oz that use both the 1/0 and 2/0 VMC hooks.  I use a lot of the Owner ones like this for shakey heads so this should save me some money.

Latest bladed bait that I made. Unfortunately, I chipped the paint closing the eye.

Another one of my 10" cedar baits. This time painted in a smallmouth pattern.

Wish I could paint this well. Can I buy some of those eyes in smaller size say 5 or 6mm?

Walking popper. Think i got the action down. Had to adjust weight a couple times to get it right.

i broke the needle on my airbrush so this got a spraycan job. The Krylon hobby paints are good for this. They have some cool metallics.

With some help from others figuring out why I had lazy lead blades, I made up 7 different 1/4 ounce spinnerbaits. All of the blade combinations were tested in the local trout creek. I particularly like the yellow bladed bait I made tonight.

It would look better with eyes on that bait. ?

Haha I know, I ran out and havent ordered more yet. They still catch fish. Some things eyes give me confidence on, spinnerbaits im not sure are that important since they are generally more keyed on on the blade(s). Just my two-cents. Atleast thats how i justified being lazy and not painting some on.

Not sure if I have posted this one before but it has been the best spinnerbait the last 2 years.  I am at 126 bass, 2 sunfish, and a walleye.

I always wondered how are the tails cut? Are they molded that way or is there some special cutting tool?

I made a contraption using a can crusher and razor blades.  I'm working the bugs out but it functions.

Some companies have a mold with tails, most don't. I wanted a 3.75" skinny tube with the ability to make a hard head on the tube for Texas rigging-so I had to cut my own. When the poo-nado of my job subsides I'll post a pic.

Hey I made some salmon/steelhead patterns, anyone think these are good colors for that?

All on the same bait ? Man, my baits break way before that . After 30 to 40 fish I retire them and start a new one .

Will bass eat a 5/8" masonary bit?

Yes, they will!

I decided to try my hand at making my own soft plastics.  This was my first test run using recycled baits while I finish up my first prototype.
