Chatter baits made from a 3/8 do-it Arkie mold.  Line ties could be better.  But, they do work.

The barring on this hair and hackle perch was done with a Copic G99 olive marker. Solarez "Bone Dry" (thin) UV resin protects the collar.

How does she run?

Love blade baits and that looks like an awesome custom version

It actually runs pretty true.  I have a video but it’s apparently too large to post.

@Baitmaker,

I like seeing stuff in the process of being created.  Are you doing the eyes differently now than in the past?

TY Bass! The eye sockets on those are done with a Dremel sanding bit that has a little concave bowl shape like that. A flat round bit has a tendency to get away from me especially on contours or rounded edges. I then go back and remove the high center spot with a smaller bur. On some foiled baits, the raised pupil looks good the way it is and I will just paint a pupil over the foil. (if that makes sense)

Leatherbaits trailer (tapered at top), palmered grizzly schlappen, polar chenille

What are the Leatherbaits like, Will? Are they at all pork-like in motion? I have a bunch of pork yet, but it is a pain, esp the last batches it seems.

I was very disappointed when I first lowered one into the lake because it hardly flexed at all. It was attached to an 1/8 oz. ball head jig tied with bear hair. Cold front conditions in early summer as I recall. However, even though the trailer didn't flex anything like pork or plastic, it did move enough to get the interest of three smallmouth. Try a pack and see how you like it.

Going to have and try this trick. I need to make bigger eye sockets on some lead heads.

Did a test paint on some weighted wacky hooks. Added a skirt to the bluegill one. I'm so rusty at tying skirts, but I'll be a pro again by the end of winter! Little guy needs a boot tail trailer and he'll be all ready to go.

Unhappy with the bluegill, probably retie that one but I tried again with the crappie jig and it came out much better I think.

Here are some spinnerbaits I made yesterday.  Top row are 3/4 oz.  bottom row are 1/2 oz.  A friend of mine likes this color combo for Lake Chapala.  I normally like darker colors, but have started becoming a chart. and white fan.  I got hooked on colored blades fishing inline spinners for salmon, they also work great for bass in Mexico.

Is that lead wire wrapped on the hook shank on a couple of those?  What do they weigh?

Yes it is

Old trick I've been doing for a while.

Use it to cast further and keep baits I will be burning fast -

In the water !
