Anyone remember these?  Used to be THE standard, now you never hear about them.   I found a bunch of them (prob 30+ years old) in a plastic box I'd forgotten about.  I replaced the hooks on most of them and think I'll give them a try next time out.  How many of you still have them and how many of you still use them?   :o

Inline spinners are a very overlooked bait that most serious bass fisherman probably dont use.

I would use them on tough days, where fish aren't biting the more "popular" lures.

Also I like using them deep as a jigging spoon, it gives off some vibration the fish haven't felt down there before, burning them over grass flats is also a deadly tactic.

Throw one on next time you go out and prove it to yourself. :o

Yup... remember them and still use them (I prefer the #2 & #3 plain Agilas with gold blade). They are my most productive lure right before the spawn, for those red-eyed smallmouth on Beltzville Lake in the western Poconos.

I still use the Mepps Fury #3 and #4 a ton, the one with the red dots, the yellow never did it for me.  I just found a Fury with white dots on the blade and can't wait to try it out at the river.

i dont use mepps but i LOVE LOVE LOVE bluefox. one of my all time favorite baits is the bluefox vibrax minnow spin. absolutely slays all warmwater species (bass, crappie,bluegill...) i do however own one mepps, its the comet minnow...i caught my biggest crappie ever on that.

I carry a few #3 spinners and they're no less effective than they used to be. Perhaps they just fell out of favor as a new generation of lures hit the market.

In his Tidal River video, Woo Daves says he uses the Mepps inline spinners on tidal rivers.

I have two of the Mepps lures but have not thrown them.

Maybe will do in the future.

I like the Rooster Tails right now.

I catch tons of fish on Mepps spinners, especially a Black Fury #3.

If you want to try another inline spinner that is a big bass killer, pick up a Sonic Roster tail, any color.

Yeah, I like the Black Fury with the red dots.  They look "stealthy".

I use them, a lot.  My favorite for bass in clear water is the #3 Black Fury in chartreuse with chartreuse tail, and white with white tail.  I like to troll them in spring.  I catch plenty of bass with them.  Pickerel love them.

I have been using them since the 70's when I was a teenage trout angler. Over the years I have taken many different species with them including snook and mangrove snapper (the spinner does not last long in saltwater, however). Even managed to snag a big 'ol carp with one. If I could only have one bait, the gold #2 with a skirt would be it. I rarely throw them at largemouth though, just too darn boring.
